Give one account bound change one color pattern on account bound progen wolves

Here's why, I messed up one of the colors on one of my progen wolves because I thought I had changed it back to what I wanted after testing another color, and wish there was a way I could change it. I've seen others with the same regrets on the forums. One account bound item that can only be used on the wolves you create so if something went wrong, you can fix it. If people don't want to use it, they can delete it, but they can't sell it, and it can't be used on offspring or wild wolves. Hoping this gets consideration. Thank you.

This is the only color change I support that I have seen in these forums. Our progens are bound anyway and only changing 1 color shouldn't allow people to print easy G2 pups of any color they want to sell. Could be a 1 time thing or a once a year item on your account anniversary, that way someone that really wants to change their entire progen, can in a long time

General support for some way to change progen colors with heavy restrictions. IMO the current system is pretty harsh for players who might not be familiar with the color wheel system. Not everyone is a Flight Rising veteran and there is no explanation within the game itself when you're making your progens--IIRC you can't even access the forums before you make your progens, and it's not intuitive to have to go searching for a wiki as part of your first action in the game. It's also not explained that you will never get to fully customize a wolf again, which is very different from most other pet games.

I say this as someone who is pretty happy with my progens--but I feel like the only reason I am is because I got to play early access and learn from my mistakes there.

Personally I'm a bigger fan of the idea to allow regular progen changes but on a very long cooldown (say 6 to 12 months) and at substantial expense (preferably pebbles, or some high level crafting thing). But there are probably a lot of reasonable ways to do it.

If no method of changing them is introduced, I think the process of progen creation needs to be much more newbie friendly. Needs a proper tutorial built into the site.

Support - I would like to change one of my progen's colors

Support. I love my progen's colors but I also had the luxury of playing the beta and had a pretty good idea of what the color wheel looked like prior to making my custom wolves. My beta progens were very pretty but made some not so pretty puppies due to their color ranges. I was able to modify their design prior to committing to them for the life of my account. If I had made the same wolves I designed in the beta for the official release, I know I would have been extremely disappointed and it would have tempered my excitement for the game.

Personally, I think it would be a generous and considerate feature to allow players a one time, account bound, full re-customization of their progens. I see it as being a feature that would be an MS exclusive and not something a player should take lightly, from a cost perspective.

@Baubor

Completely agree. I have never played FR, had no idea breeding was the way it was, and had no idea I'd never be able to customize another wolf again.

Full support on this. Mistakes can be made, regrest had or just changing tastes. Allowing progen recustomisation, maybe with a six month cooldown is my favourite idea. In FR it's never been a thing sadly, but with LW having five colour slots, four being the body it's much easier to make colour mistakes.

I think it would be good to improve the sign-up process; have a step where players can predict the puppies, be shown how the colour wheel works, and how you won't get to pick colours again. I got lucky, as mine were fairly compatible ranges, but I had no idea how to colour system worked and it could have been a big disappointment.

There shouldn't be such a big advantage to people familiar with sites like FR, who can understand why the progen wolf creation is so valuable & how colours work, vs players new to this type of site. Once it's implemented, everyone can have a one-off re-do or something along those lines and then no further. There will still be players that got to take advantage of their pro-gen creation that then get to really take advantage of a free re-do, but I think it's worth it to let others understand what they are doing.

@Kitariki

I really like your suggestion and think it is a great method of implementing a change like this.

You have my support on this. I misclicked (like badly) on one of my progens and it made me really upset that it was like that forever.
