Murkwood Bosses Activity counting defeats when my party can't do that

I'm sorry I couldn't make the images smaller ;-;

I noticed that the Defeat Murkwood Bosses thing was going up when my party simply cannot do that. The first image is a screenshot of a battle with a Consumed Keboko(it happened with a normal one too), and the second one I took after I reloaded the page. It shows 1/5 Defeat Murkwood Bosses when that simply... is not possible.
I'm terrible at phrasing things; normally I'd leave this for some other person to mention because I don't like dealing with images.

Sorry if this isn't a bug, but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be happening so here I am

It's been doing this since the start of these pack events as far as I know, especially from my own experience. Though I am unsure if it's a bug that hasn't been fixed or if it is running as intended? Though if it's intended, it should be encounter bosses and not defeat them or something. xD

From what I remember, this hasn't happened to me before, because every time there's an event, I remember the two bosses activities sitting up at the top of my screen, determinedly empty despite how many bosses I initiated combat with.
If it was intended that would be really weird lol

Then maybe I should have reported this sooner? Because I distinctly remember going to a friend during the 1st Murkwood event (the first pack event I joined in on. I missed Icerun's) last year and being like, um... I lost this boss fight, but it still counted? She was saying the same was happening for her and they have counted for every failed attempt since. I can pull them off if I am actually using a decent team, but I've been training wolves lately, so baby levels always get wiped and they always have counted.

Though, lately, I have opted not to even do them. They are kind of a pain, to be honest, especially when I'm trying to level. xD

Like, I feel it's not running as intended and has been a very huge outstanding bug during these pack events. So hopefully this will get looked into. Now I'm wondering if there's others with differing experiences to these event related tasks?

I have the same experience, but I'm not worried about it. It's hard enough to FIND the boss encounters, so having two tasks sit there if you can't defeat them, or have a team ready is more newbie friendly.

weird. Maybe I just stayed in the second area the whole time for every other event. I wasn't very active at all during Goldsea and Darkspine so I never noticed anything during those

This is my first encounter with this bug... ish... thing

I didn't know anyone else had experienced this.

Maybe other people are finding some weird things, but they didn't post about it for some reason.

For me, the boss encounters happen a ton. Not sure why. But you're right; it would make the tasks easier for newer players... so maybe this is intentional? I have no clue what's going on anymore

As far as I know, staff has never said anything about it, but also as we were told recently: better get used to not hearing anything from them about anything, unfortunately.

It'd be nice for the wording to reflect that you needed to just initiate combat rather than legitimately defeat the bosses, but I'd also rather them leave it totally alone than change it to needing to actually "win" the encounter to have it count towards progress.

You're punished enough by the wasted stamina since you don't get any items from losing a fight. :P Two bars may not seem like a lot to have hovering up there for a Whole Month, since you can do other activities around them... But it'd be demoralizing for peeps and slow things down, which would be a net loss to the whole experience when it's just really not necessary.

Yeah... now that I think about it, it is kinda annoying to have to actually defeat stuff and not get anything when I don't. This... thing is making this more enjoyable for me. I guess that means I'm fine with it.

I've always viewed this one as "encounter" the boss because admittedly, my team can NEVER defeat them. If it was changed to "defeat" them, I would never be able to complete this activity, which would render it relatively useless to me and take up valuable slots that I wouldn't be able to clear for the event.

Okay, that makes sense.
The few times I actually tried it in the first Icerun event, I used all level 10s and now I find out that I was just wasting food and that I could've gotten it with one of my normal campaign woofs

Well I guess this is nice to know. At least now I'll have room to get more tickets faster; which will make it more enjoyable and not discourage me from going in the third zone ever again during an event
