Sometimes I just don't have any wolves I want to enter, or I already entered them more then once. It kinda effects my relationship with my wolves a bit too. And can be a bit frustrating when I really love the wolf I have and they don't place.

A simple option for me to just get the regular rewards without the extra one if you place would be nice, plus then there wouldn't be a weird competitive edge having my own wolf in the same pool as the wolves I'm voting for.

I’m not against the idea, but considering how the pageant currently works, it sounds like it would require a big reconstruction of the current system. Otherwise you can’t ensure the pageant has 7 entries and you would be missing out on multiple days rewards anyway since you can only vote for a wolf once.

Support for this! I personally absolutely despise the pageant because none of my wolves ever place. I'd rather just vote and get my daily shards without the kick in the face at the end of the week.

Support from me too! I'm playing since launch and I never placed once, not even 3rd place. I've tried literally everything I've seen winning (CAs, matching apparels, naked wolves, pretty colors combo, eyeburners, WW, progens, bred wolves, etc) but nothing, I'm apparently always in the wrong group for the kind of wolf I've chosen to enter that time to win even 3rd place. What I've initially thought as a cute feature became a frustrating one and I would gladly opt out of it if it wasn't for the daily check in rewards.

I can see this working by just adding a no entry category and everyone getting sorted into the separate groups. You'd still vote within the same group you would have been in, if you had a wolf entered, you'd just have more people voting on them.
