Cooking/Free Crafting ~ Wolf Leveling
Tip: You can search a username in the Name field of the FM too!
Do not send me friend requests or random PMs.
Exact same situation with me. It sucks ahaha
We do be vibing though.
Absolutely support. I might post a fair amount on the forums, but also, I'm like the only person I know who would be willing to join who hasn't already, let alone get 5 companions to level 10, with how slow it is in the beginning.
I was able to get a unicorn, I can't believe that having companions locked behind referrals are what will stop me from collecting them all. Unbelievable.
Any of my friends that would ever play a pet sim already have accounts. I'm at a loss. I think more than just making them not soulbound, there shouldn't be that many tied to this referral program. 1 or 2 at the most? At least make other ways you can get them. Have them be available on the mole market or something, they can be expensive I do not care.
Making them soulbound doesn't make sense unless the devs want to stop multi-account funneling, but that doesn't even matter since you'd just get banned anyway. Referral systems never made me feel good and I think if games wanted to have them, giving people stuff like currency rewards, energy, or cosmetics are the way to go.
Support. I honestly don't have many friends who play these types of games, so I literally have 0 people to refer. Having these companions be soulbound and locked behind a referral system feels very punishing to those of us who are less social.
As someone who played Dappervolk from launch I was dismayed to see another game where having a complete pet collection would require trying to not only convince several people to join but also to stay long enough to hit the prerequisite. Most people I know have either already got an account or long since brushed off this game as not being worth their time, especially since in the beginning it can be quite grindy.
I feel like a better tactic would have been something similar to FR where it's a percentage of rare currency based on the person who used you as a referral's purchases.
Support. I am not comfortable being a recruiter. My time on pet games is time that has belonged to me and I rarely talk about it with people outside of my pet game communities. I should not have to recruit multiple people to get companions that I want. I understand that no one Needs all the companions, but that's just how most people play these sorts of games. We are collectors. I'm not sure why they thought Soulbinding any of them would go over well.
Let the people who are comfortable recruiting people make lots of MS off people like me who will not engage with recruiting. They deserve it for their efforts.
support!
Support! I think it should be some moonstones instead of companions.
So much support!
Like others here, everyone I could refer is either already here or decided it wasn't for them. As it stands, getting those companions is literally impossible for me.
Additionally, what the current system is going to promote because of situations like this is players paying others in currency of other games or even real world currency to make accounts here and interact with them, which feels really scummy to me.
I realize the point of this is to drive up player numbers, but it's encouraging shell accounts that are going to do the interactions required to get these companions and then go dead. The actual number of accounts created who will stay is goong to be a tiny percentage of the shell accounts that will be made just to get these.
Don't have them be soulbound, or at least have them be obtainable some other way. If they're not soulbound, it will encorage the economy, which desperately needs it. If they're obtainable in some other way - even if it's diffucult or expensive - it will still encourage site interaction.
