Gauntlet Activity - Complete per Level instead of Round

Right now, the Gauntlet is almost not worth doing. It's 50 stamina per entry, and there's no reason to go beyond lvl 1 for purposes of the complete a Gauntlet activity. This is because of the 30 second long wait time between levels (unnecessary) and the low amount of rewards. Whenever I get it in my activities, I just complete the first level and immediately quit. I don't even do the Gauntlet as a casual activity because the feed amount is just not worth it. The fact that there's a cooldown also means I set it aside in a different tab and need to continuously check in on it instead of being able to go through as many levels as my team is able to.

My suggestion is to allow the Gauntlet activity to be marked as completed per "level" finished instead of per entire round finished. This encourages people to keep their Gauntlet run open to slowly complete higher and higher levels as the activity loops back around to it again. It would also encourage people to create better well-rounded teams since it's much cheaper stamina wise to be able to keep going to higher levels instead of quitting immediately upon completing level 1 just for the activity reward.

Let me know what you guys think. I love the Arena, I love the idea of the Gauntlet, but what it is right now is just not worth it from a gameplay aspect. Give me a reason to use it, please!

There isn't a minute long wait between levels? Refresh the page and the timer is 25 seconds. Watch the level play out and there's no timer.

My bad, I just checked the gauntlet and it's actually 30 seconds to wait instead of a 60, which honestly doesn't change my point about the Gauntlet or the suggestion. I've changed my post to half a minute wait time for accuracy!

Support! I generally do not do the activity at all, because doing just one round isn't worth it and doing more rounds takes too long

Support! I avoid gauntlet until activity time, and then i go until around level 6 or i get a moonstone shard.

Even if you let the level play out, you can still end up with the timer. If you have a good team then you finish the level before that 30 secs is up and you still have to wait. I understand that the whole point of the timer is to prevent people from just refreshing to skip watching the battle, and thus complete gauntlet runs very quickly, but it honestly only feels frustrating. But I spose that's a different issue entirely.

support. i dont know why they chose to do this, it doesn't feel necessary. also i agree that at the moment the rewards are lack luster. at least let the enemies drop more items to be sold.

Yeah, I'd also prefer if the activity would count levels instead ending the gauntlet, especially since losing DOESN'T count towards it.
So you're currently encouraged to just end your run, wherever you are, if you get that activity. If it was switched to count levels won instead, even if you lose the very next level, You'd just need to restart the gauntlet and beat the first level, instead of restarting, beating the first level and ending the gauntlet (and "wasting" 50 stamina in the process).

Agree on the activity bubble, disagree on changing the payouts.

Once you have a team that consistently gets to level 10-12, the pebble reward for finishing averages ~10kps plus the other misc rewards. That's a lot for 5-6min of mostly passive play.

Now that the devs have announced that they'll be raising the level cap, I think this suggestion becomes even more relevant. As it stands, the activity quest only counts when you quit and claim your rewards successfully. Neither winning a battle, nor loosing a streak rewards the quest.

however, when our levels get to lv20, (and some people have already successfully managed to reach lv25 with just lvl10s) that means that we'll most likely be looking at 30 rounds or so of gauntlet before you want to quit and claim your rewards. However, with the timer, that is such a ridiculous amount of time and effort. I know there is a different suggestion to remove the timer altogether and I am all for that, but I think with how often this quest pops up, even if the timer was removed, I still wouldn't be able to do many worthwhile attempts at the gauntlet (and as I said in my previous comment on this thread, just doing a single battle and immediately claiming the rewards for the quest, isn't worth the amount of stamina it requires)

So a year after this thread was created, I am back to add my support once again, to please let every successful battle should count towards the activity.
