Not sure if I am the only one, but I feel compared to other professions that fishing is the slowest one of all of them to level. As the levels get higher and higher, the exp gain doesn't change at all as any fish caught still gives only 2xp.

My suggestion would be to allow the Winter stream event in the icerun area in the campaign to also award some fishing exp. You get 12 fish in this event and to balance things out, I feel like it should give you 6 fishing exp as a reward. This way people can grind up to lv20 fishing normally and then choose to grind the following levels through campaign or by normal means or both!

Support! It used to give 20xp (as did the silver mining)

Honestly I find it a little odd that neither this nor the silver mining event don't give any experience. I support adding a little bit of exp gain to these, it doesn't have to be a lot since the events are so frequent, but even just a tiny bit helps with the slow grinds.

Echoeing Tserin, I thought it was odd neither gave exp. We just magic some fish and bars into existence. Then again, I also find it odd that we can go through a raspberry patch, eat our fill and not gain some stamina ;-) It would be nice if campaign makes more sense in that aspect.

But yes, fishing is TEDIOUS to level. And I really want the companions, so it's so utterly painful and slow now.

Big support. I was actually about to suggest this but checked to see if someone had done it first.

Huge support. Fishing needs a general overhaul, right now it’s a drag to level up in and generally the task I see criticized the most. I would love to see any change, that makes it more time/reward efficient than it is right now.
