i've ended up liking Lorwolf a LOT more than i originally thought. totally addicted to it and spend hours upon hours playing it since official launch. it makes me feel oddly happy as well to be playing and enjoying it and it's the first thing i check when waking up and last thing before sleep. i am surely not the only one who feels like this? :D

It's the little dopamine hits from completing a task. It's great/awful lol I spend so much longer than I intend to.

I only signed up because I saw it was open registration, figured it nothing else, I could use my early days stuff for cross-site trading down the line. Nah, I'm hooked. I am trading my FR stuff in for LW stuff haha

Yeah i thought i wouldn't really be in the mood for it since i haven't played Flight Rising in so long and have trouble even going back. But i gave this a shot anyway, next thing I know I'm hooked and playing way too much.

I keep wanting to shake people for using flight rising terminology, ngl, and that's the only thing that has stopped me from being glued to the forums as a social hub too. (you can say pattern and not gene! you can say starter and not progen! etc!)

but yes the tasks! The dopamine hit if accomplishment! It's so good. It really is more user friendly than FR which I also have struggled to go back to because it's very hard to stay afloat once you're over a hundred dragons, the game yield is so low, etc. lorwolf not having games and giving currency for just doing site tasks is an incredibly good design I've never seen anywhere else!

@Cardixa progenitor is not FR terminology, I've seen it used on plenty of other petsites as well. Plus starter is just un-immersive, starter only relates to the player, whereas progenitor mean the origin of a generation, the founder, and it also represents the beginning of your own personal playing so it covers both bases.

But genes yeah, pattern is more well suited lol, I do think I prefer it as coat pattern and not just saying pattern on its own though.

I was surprised how into lorwolf I got, due to my habit of cycling through games and the fact that I was starting to cycle out of FR, but I got pretty hooked right off the bat.

I actually take it back about progen, and i'd been thinking it even before you posted, @SovereignFives you're right it's a totally appropriate use of the word progenitor. I'm just niggling a little at the mostly flight rising lingo.

Coat pattern is a good term and could be called “coats” just as easy which is also good lingo!

@Cardixa ooo I think coat could be good lingo for a wolf that has the same pattern in every field, like a merle coat would mean merle accent unders and top!

I too am hopelessly stuck on this game, in a good way ahaha. The fact that it works so nicely on mobile means I can check it and poke my professions at any time… and so I am! Ahaha. FR can only be played desktop imo, so with this being more accessible I’d rather just… play this. xD Just feels like there’s always something to do, and it’s already so cozy.

It‘s literally distracting me away from the new Legend of Zelda game sometimes, which is mindblowing tbh.
