I've loved Pokemon since the release of Pokemon Red and Blue in the states. Showing my age a bit. I started slowing down with the games though after Platinum. I did end up playing a bit of Y and Sun, but they felt very hand-holdy compared to older games and I lost interest.

But, if I had to pick an absolute favorite Pokemon it'd be Growlithe. If we are talking about favorite legendaries, it would be Lugia. xD

I remember my lovely teal Gameboy color! It was such an upgrade from the original Gameboy where I had to use that big chonky light/screen magnifier combo. I'd always sneak my Gameboy in my backpack so I could play on the bus ride back home. I had a couple friends who were also into Pokemon and we'd trade and battle. I only managed to get a DS because my boyfriend (now hubby) had an extra one. Come to find out, that extra one had been his brother's he had stolen and gave to me. xD I don't think I've ever owned a 3DS though, once they came out was about the time I kind of stopped playing the games.

But I really feel that is just where the whole "I love leveling things" stemmed from. If there's a battling system/leveling system in any game I am there trying to get my creatures to the highest level possible. Thanks Pokemon! I'd spend hours upon hours rotating out teams and leveling them to about 80, then running through the Pokemon League for them to get to 100.

If I did try it, it would be my first for the Switch. Which, frankly, is kind of exciting. xD I have a Lite a friend got me as a gift recently. I really enjoy it, but find playing it for long periods hurts my hands. I'm still undecided which I'd want more; Scarlet or Violet. Dinos or robots? What a decision as I really like both. I also am terrible at decision making. xD

I had to go refresh my memory on the Pokemon Go avatars. Me and the hubby played it for awhile when it was first released. We'd go everywhere looking for Pokemon, but once the kiddos were back in school we kind of forgot about it as we couldn't just get up and go places as often together anymore with work and such. But... it looks like they... updated the avatars? And not in a good way. Oof! The old avatars, though still a bit dead in the face, looked far better in my opinion.
