There's plenty of suggestions for forum improvements already, but I don't think I've seen this one- sorry if there already is.
Please separate PMs and Notifications. And do not erase my forum mentions.
It's already a little overwhelming to sometimes come back to 6 PMs and it turns out I've got one forum mention, 4 apparel sales and a PM from someone, and if I hit “Claim All” to get my apparel revenue then I can just totally erase that forum mention and I'm no longer shown the icon for the PM I just got.
I have the misfortune of being really forgetful- or sometimes I just kind of absently click the claim button and poof, it's all gone! Maybe there's a way to access notification history again but it's not obvious, and I do think PMs and Notifs in general should be kept apart from each other.
Additional note:
Right now I really do think fixing the forum problems should be a high priority- it's where the community is going to be on-site. If it's easier for us to talk, set up nice pupperies, art shops, forum games, etc with nice formatting, share things and such, we can provide some entertainment for ourselves that doesn't even need to involve playing the game directly!
The Profile Comments suggestion was great for this community aspect too!
