I am using Safari on IOS/Desktop. If cutting off long usernames is intentional, I feel like that cutoff should be lengthened because as it is it would be less space to just have the W at the end of my username.
It cuts off based on your screen size. For example, on my iPhone 12 Mini, I can only see ‘Brightm’. Personally I’d prefer text scaling instead of cutting it off. My OCD is absolutely bothered by this one. 😭
@Mew I completely agree that it should scale instead of cut off! why allow me to have a username that’s too long?
also its worth noting that it only cuts off like this when I have my window full-size. When I scale my window down to be narrower I can actually see my full username!

Agreed! I’m unsure why the username cutoff was intentional. No offense to any of the developers/UI designers, but it‘s not visually appealing and appears unintentional which isn’t a good thing. It seems like the only way to avoid this is by having a low ID and three character username which means most people will experience this.
Also, that’s really interesting! That really does lead me to think it isn’t working as intended either.
I haven't played on anything other than my laptop in a full-sized window, but my username gets shortened on me both on my profile AND the forums. I've gone from Clockwork Moose to Clockwork Moo.

I'd much rather long usernames being displayed in a slightly smaller font!
