Remove Player Input Needs For Birthing

It would be much nicer if the player wasn't required to press a button to make the wolf go to the nest, and then another to give birth. It's frustrating as a player to have to manage those timers, if you miss them or forget them or what have you, then you end up delaying your offspring. It feels very unnecessary. Not to mention kinda weird, like why does my wolf need my permission to go into labor? and then my permission to give birth? Feels weird and doesn't make sense.

It does seem a bit… convoluted.

I think I'd like to just have the Wolf going into the den/nest as soon as they are bred with a countdown to puppy day.

Much more exciting as far as a build up goes, less timing involved, and you can still have the button that says ‘Reveal to me the puppies!" without delaying anything. You’re still getting the puppies manually, but at least there's no weird timing getting them set up.

Definitely feel like one click should be removed from this process.

I will say though that some people may want to keep a wolf from giving birth if they're trying to get a wolf with a certain ID number. However I think removing the “send to nest” click and keeping the one that actually generates the puppies would work great.

It also stinks that you can forget to do one of these and then you're behind a full 24 hours, instead of until rollover like on a lot of other sites :(

I think it wouldn't be possible to fully automate it because of nest and den space. You wouldn't be able to give birth if you didn't have enough room in your den, or send a wolf to nest if your nests are full. I do think the several steps is kind of annoying though, I think there could be ways to improve it though I'm not sure how. Maybe being able to select certain wolves to automatically go to the nest after breeding?

@Victor

So what they’re proposing is when you hit the breed button, the expecting wolf just goes straight to the nest to prepare for birth instead of hanging around in the den until you can push the button to send them to the nest. The idea is to completely get rid of the “Send to nest button” and combine the two separate timers in to one. So you’re nest space is automatically taken up and when all you’re nests are full, you can’t breed anymore wolves until some of the other ones give birth. Most other pet breeding sites utilize this style and we would like to see it here as there are already so many timers to keep up with.

I suggested this back in beta and EA about removing the middle step entirely and just letting us breed from the nest or bred wolves just going straight to the nest. It would have one long timer rather than the two separate ones.

Too many people were forgetting to send their wolves to the nest and getting frustrated. People were getting confused or disappointed when they thought they were getting puppies only to find out they had to wait another day.

There's no reason for the unecessary step and it only causes issues when it could easily be streamlined. Even with all that it still hasn't been changed. Please listen to your players.

A wolf going directly to the nest for the sake of there only being 1 timer is exactly what we need- with 2 different ladies I've accidentally lengthened how long it would take to get puppies just because I missed a timer for 12ish hours (I was asleep for much of that, but I also Shouldn't be expected to mold my sleep schedule around game timers…)

massive support for expecting females to go straight to the nest upon breeding. it would make the entire process a lot smoother and less anxiety-inducing for missing the timer

Some players like the ability to have more wolves be ready than you have nests [and be picky about who goes there in what order] so what about actually, give Nana a second type of task she can do so you can pay her pebbles to ensure a wolf goes to the nest without your input?

So it doesn't get rid of some of that system's niche uses but you can pay to ignore it [and it's an extra pebble sink while we're at it]

Big support for this. Why on earth was the extra step implemented in the first place? I guess the males cooldown would go down as the female waits for a nest? But that doesn't benefit me for every pair like removing the send to nest button would, so I still think this is a good idea.
