Give 3-5 Moonstones from Moonstones crafting recipe

I honestly don’t think this is going to happen, but I’m throwing it out anyways.

I’d appreciate if we got more moonstones from the crafting recipe.

I thing the shard system is fine. It’s exciting pulling up a shard from fishing, or cooking, or farming; like an extra bonus reward! I like it.

However, getting one for 10 shards feels ridiculous.

Yesterday I played a few hours and I got 20k pebbles and 2 moonstones. That, in my mind, is a ridiculous ratio.

I am not against spending money on a petsite I am genuinely enjoying. I have done it before on flight rising more then once. I get to have some fun money AND support the devs! Win-win! But if the only reason I would buy it would be to get to participate in the economy, and then be forced to buy more when I run out, I am absolutely not going to be doing so.

Edit: People are saying 2-3 which i’d be happy with, I admit 3-5 is a little high. I do DEFINITELY want it raised though.

I think 3-5 might be a little too much but I could see cutting the recipe in half, 5 shards = 1ms so you would get 2 from 10

agreed; 10 fragments for 1 stone seems very steep, especially for the casual players, those who didn't back the KS, and those who won't/can't buy a subscription. 2 or 3 stones from 10 fragments would make way more sense.

@Shiver fair enough. I’ll admit I’m not exactly sure what it should be but I think 1 for 10 is too low.

I fully agree! In the hours and hours I've been grinding for things, I've only managed 2 crafted moonstones and then some shards. So currently moonstone crafting is absolutely not sustainable in any way, and I kind of feel like it's a bit of a useless mechanic as of now with how little you even get shards.

Agree it should be raised to 2 moonstones at least. I've played for 2 days and unless I'm constantly grinding (something I know I won't be able to keep up without feeling burn out and with irl things like a job) I only managed to craft 1 from the shards I've collected.

Seems a bit unbalanced compared to how many pebbles we can get so easily (and without limit with all the activities we can do in a day) + some of the expansions are now costing moonstones instead of pebbles like in EA.

I saw the thread said it was for balancing reasons (and maybe as the site grows larger it'll be more balanced) but right now I feel as if keeping those as pebbles would've been fine.

I just saw someone in another thread mention that you can only get 25 moonstone shards each day and can't get moonstones at all from activities which is also dumb. moonstones are far too rare and hard to earn at the moment, considering just how many things cost moonstones.

my suggestion would be to either do away with the paid subscription and give 1 moonstone daily to all players (similar to FR's well-fed bonus), or keep the subscription but also make it possible for moonstones to drop from high level activities. also increase the daily shard cap to 30, 25 makes no sense.

Support! Getting even 2-3 Moonstones for 10 shards would make everything feel fairer; especially since the current recipe uses 5 Bone Paste on top of the shards- which I Also didn't know there was a cap on earning per day… the devs seem to want to incentivize grinding, yet the Moonstone Shards only giving MAX 2.5 Moonstones per day feels… like the opposite of that tbh.

Honestly I think 10 shards for one stone is fine on paper, but causing issues in practice due to how many things in the game costs moonstones and how low the daily shard cap is. I think if you're going to make the economy so dependent on your premium currency you need to make it so f2p players can reasonably get enough on their own with enough dedication. Premium currency is supposed to be for the people that don't want to grind and will pay to not grind, but those that DO grind for it shouldn't be strung along with scraps and then not allowed to get more than a few ms a day. No matter how hard you work you will never get ahead, and that gives little incentive to play the game.

I don't think I necessarily support this- but it depends how things go.

Making moonstones easier to obtain will probably cause more problems rather than solve them- but right now I understand why you'd want that, given that there are incredibly limited items to spend pebbles on, and almost anything worth having is Moonstone only. It might be nice if we could have stuff like occasionally getting MS (or extra shards on top of your daily cap) for doing other activities, like as random loot or for releasing wolves.

Honestly I wouldn't mind doing away with the shard system altogether and just getting the MS upfront especially your daily quest ones, I don't really see a reason for them to be a reward you can get only part of- and then have to add ingredients on top and wait. Shards could stay, but I feel quests should get you your MS in full, be easier to complete, and any extra activities could give shards?

I think a lot of work needs to be done to change how many areas of the site are locked behind MS, but making the premium currency easier to get very likely isn't the best way- pebbles need a boost in their usefulness.
