I'm not sure anymore what keeps making coming back. I think I'll take some time off from lorwolf soon. I felt nothing at the latest "news", I think trust is just gone at the moment. I only do the dailies and nothing else.

Bork, Bark, Byork! It's AWOOOOOOO o'clock!!!
Hope this achievements update can stoke the fire to keep checking in a bit longer, I've been sorta falling out of my "just go mining" rhythm for a while now.
The hope that this game eventually kicks off. It has so much potential and I want to see it thrive.
I almost post exclusively in the forums, and have various ideas for future projects. Just gotta get the pebbles and moonstones for them.

My friend keeping me updated about what happens here.
I have always had my rotation of games I keep coming back to, even though the games changed through the years. It's a habit I have established for about 15 years. I will sometimes find myself looking for a new game or coming back to one I left a while ago. I am mostly looking for games that allow you to just casually play a bit on the side while having some sort of content that can keep you engaged daily, but doesn't punish you too hard if you don't. There also needs to be a completion/level aspect in general, and I rather like the generational and somewhat random theme of many pet games over static characters you see every day. The genetics here aren't impressive, though, so that's not it.
It sure is about the activities, weekly events, profession levels and randomness in the breeding, mainly. And currently, my main game seems to be leveling wolfs to level 10 and then release them and keep them coming while collecting those offsprings that have a certain trait. The game does not excessively restrict me in the pairing and you don't need to unlock the ability compared to other games, although the inbreeding block is quite extensive compared to other games which can make it challenging to reach certain results.
I don't care about art or the theme too much, although having a well designed site is more pleasant than doodles.
The latest update was promising. This game has a lot of potential and I want to see it succeed!
I don't even know how to explain this. I don't have any concrete reason why I keep coming back - I think I just genuinely fell in love with this game. It's simple idle clicking that I can do at the same time I watch shows or listen to audiobooks, and doesn't require any concentration. I used to play candy crush way too much until I found Lorwolf, and tbh this is way better and way less predatory game to pass time than candy crush is.
I just genuinely love this game and can't get bored with this - but I also can understand why others do.
I've just decided to come back to check out the achievement update. I really like the simple gameplay loop but it feels like there's nothing to really work towards, which is why I stopped playing not long after release. Maybe at some point in the future Lorwolf will have enough going for it that I'll feel the need to play regularly. It's definitely got potential, and I hope it can achieve it!
For me, it's a few things: Companions (the art style in particular on most of these is amazing, not to mention the benefit of having them be used in combat). Breeding projects (currently working on a Zerda with specific colors, which is still a long way off). The lore (I want to see where this is going). The profession system (very fleshed out, Koda in particular is fantastic for when it's not fishing week and getting that daily, and how professions are handled in general is something I quite like). The forums seem a tad slow compared with some other petsims, but I can live with that (I don't post much anyway).
I find the art style appealing, and custom apparel being available in a shop (which restocks) makes a world of difference compared with, for example, player-made designs that only get printed a few times and never reused, or player-designed custom apparel that only appears for one festival and can only return afterward through a random box of past event items.
Wolves breed very, very quickly, so I have a steady income of wolves to level and release. I like the incentive to release leveled wolves regularly, as not every breeding petsim provides a payout for releasing a pet, so pebbles, a knucklebone, and a ticket (once per day) certainly help.
Lore den, currently WIP. Looking for wolves with grey range accent and yellow range under for breeding project.
I took a bit of a hiatus, but came back to see what the achievements would look like.
I cycle through games as my interest waxes and wans. Lorwolf has some very interesting lore, and I really do love the wolf designs very much. While the patterns aren't very expansive yet, I'm confident that as the game grows and matures, we will see expansions on that front. I do enjoy the gameplay loop, and that I have a "goal" to work towards regarding the activities. I'm not just aimlessly clicking through the site.
