I see both sides of this, but I agree with Gaia on this. That's exactly what I wanted to say but lacked the words. If the item is expensive, then the wolf will not likely sell for anywhere near what it cost to use the single slot besprinkler until you get what you want because of the high odds of it require a bunch of uses. Even if the original WW is a gorgeous grayscale or all natural colored with only one bad color (which is insanely rare in itself), the cost of the numerous single slot besprinklers would make it not worth reselling because of the investment as well as how much the value of wolves have tanked. An expensive item like this is only useful to the user because of the lower resale value.

If a color could be hidden, then I'd say no support, but since all 5 colors are blatantly visible with insanely low odds of getting something decent, I support this.

If a pattern came out to make specific layers much less visible, then I'll go back to not supporting this. And I mean less noticeable than maned. More like as small as something like claw tips or something.

Edit: If it's expensive for ms though, I can see it being a problem as another ms sink.

If it's available for pebbles it can be seen as too easy to get. But if it costs millions of pebbles it could be a good pebble sink and take reasonable time to save for. Idk.

Specifcally in reply to CAs being usable to cover colours that don't work. I don't think we should resort to a proper Pay-To-Win feature (CAs), and put more emphasis on it, forcing folks to pay others to make their wolves workable, rather than providing an in-game feature that does this permanently. Yeah, no, give me worse odds on single slot besprinkler (like 50% chance of it not working) before I'd ever accept CAs as a viable alternative to besprinklers.

As for MS vs Pebbles. I do agree with riverglow. We very painfully need more pebble sinks, but to make (single slot) besprinklers available for pebbles would require an insane price to avoid it becoming too easy. I personally hope they'll be introducing a lot more proper pebble sinks, so that a single slot besprinkler like this can be made available for moonstones.

Really torn on this issue... I do like the idea of a single layer sprinkle in generall, especially in a game with four layers and over 200 (? if I remember correctly) 177 colors, and I don't think that it would immediatly crash the WW market if it is rare enough/difficult enough to get. However I do not want to see yet another MS sink. We have enough of those, the CA market alone would bring a relatively stable incentive to buy MS to players. Personally I would rather see it as very rare (maybe one every month/few weeks) item that is largely funded by pebbles (maybe even incorporated into a raffle of sorts). And I mean A LOT of pebbles.

So yeah, half support, half no support, I guess.

Thank you Gaia for the math. I agree with Gaia now that I see the hard numbers. This will not harm the market and will probably boost the market because wolves with two or more matchy colors within range will sell for more since there will be a chance to get another complementary or matchy color. The percent to get an exact color to make doubles, triples, whatever is too low to be significant. I think this will boost WW sales.

As much as I would love to support a single-layer sprinkler, I would much rather see pebble options that are more affordable (and thus more often purchased!) but still maintain some difficulty and investment of time that steers away from pay-to-win. A Color Shuffler for pebbles would be, I think, a better avenue to explore to really help with the customization itch and currency issues while giving us a break away from MS items. You could shuffle the color you don't want into the eye layer, sprinkle that till you get something you like, and then shuffle till you get what you want. More grinding for pebbles means more activity on site- something to grind FOR besides the very few things available to spend pebbles on that quickly cap out. It would take time to 'perfect' any wolf this way, and likely would also end up selling for a loss once achieved- making it less worthwhile as an avenue for sales, but increasing the value of almost-perfect wolves that users could make into projects that are actually attainable with some elbow grease.

So no support for a single layer sprinkler. However, as an alternative I will always support a Color Shuffler (that shuffles all layers!) for PEBBLES.

I like what @Caribou had suggested, but I DO NOT want to see a worse rate for colors (like a higher rate for swamp greens or the options for colors being locked to a certain area, which is entirely possible) just because one decided to go for the pebbles option.
