Is there a way to view old pings?

I accidentally clicked away when viewing my notifications , and how I have no idea where it came from because it wasn't from one of the newer topics

There should be a checkbox when you click the notification icon that says 'Show old notifications' - hopefully. That brings up a list of all recent ones.
