Consistency is the most important thing that's lacking in terms of content releases and... actual documented updates-- I expect at some point we'll have a single big dump of content that the new artists are cooking up & everyone will be thrilled with it... but I'm afraid that another huge drought is going to follow it. A website won't survive well even in the short term with such a boom & bust content delivery schedule, as we've seen with the content of the off-site trades forums.
I know they've said their ideal is for most apparel to come from CA content, people paying them to add their clothing and customization; I think that's a mistake for a site like this, and I hope they realize that soon as well. With the limits of 2.5? MS generation a day from professions and daily activities* (this isn't posted anywhere official that I know of, but seems to be the agreed upon/ observable reality from the user base) most of the FtP folks aren't gonna want to stick around if the only way to customize their dogs is to scrounge n pinch and save for the prices that CA's have to remain at in order to make any profit for the artists.
