It has been locked under the mention that it has been implemented. However, the community manager locked some suggestions (making moonstone shards in Mining more distinguishable from silver ore) 5 days ago, and there is still no mention whatsoever in the recent patch note (last update 3 months ago) nor have any new patch notes been posted.

So while perhaps the locking of the patch notes has been introduced as per the above linked suggestion, I personally still feel like there is way too much of a delay and silence after new things are introduced. People are already disappointed and frustrated by the lack of updates and improvements to the site in the past months, so only silently introducing things and not even notifying the community that something is finally improved feels like a good part of the intention the original post is overlooked. Hence my repost;

Update the patch notes immediately when new/small things are introduced instead of leaving us in silence and waiting for the next big update.

I agree that patch notes posted for any small changes would show that the game is currently and actively being worked on, and will alleviate some of the frustration with delays in new content.

Support, I didn't even know that the mining moon shard rock was changed until I saw a user thread in the discussions board

Support! Please let us know when small things are done so we know what's going on, and on the site, not only on discord. I saw a post on the updated moonstone shard image thread here (10th down) that it was discussed by Quiche in the discord server. Please remember that not everyone is on discord, and make sure to add information here, too.

wrt mystic's post: yikes, only posting updates in a off-site place just alienates players. i've seen this done before and it's awful for the community.

if you're only going to post an update in one place...at least make it the main site, please.

Absolute support! Showing that smaller things are being worked on and updated, may help with the, 'Devs' aren't doing anything' attitudes around the site. You should be proud of the work you do put into the site and show that off when you can.

Also, please, use the site as a main venue for news, and not Discord.

Total support. I personally enjoy updates that show small changes and fixes.

Full support. Players of a game should not have to make accounts on other sites to know what is going on in the game.

I noticed the moonstone change yesterday and was thinking of looking into/posting a potential bug report today on the forums because I was wondering if the color change was intended or not, and couldn't find anything in the patch notes to tell me it was intentionally changed. I just happened to see this thread before I got that far.

I never plan to join the discord, I only plan to participate in the community via site forums, even though I know for sure this prevents me from participating in what I understand is the bulk of community engagement. Having staff discussion on the discord with players is fine, but not cross posting updates on the site itself until later alienates people like me.

I would highly recommend having monthly patch note threads or something of the sort where staff can post whenever any small updates are made. It would help those of us who do not plan to join discord know what's going on. It would take more effort on mine and everyone's part to correct someone like me who saw the change and potentially posted a thread to ask "is this a bug?" than for tiny announcements like "changed the moonstone shard color to better distinguish the ore while mining" to be posted when the change is made.

Honestly, I have discord, but because it wasn't an announcement there but rather just a discussion in the way too fast moving chat, even a discord user like me completely missed the fact that it was mentioned there. It alienates the majority of the community, because even people who do have discord, do not have the time (nor should they have to spend it) scouring the vast chat histo of discord in search of anything useful that staff may have said.

Support. Going back, it looks like the last official patch notes were 3 months ago? I know the major update was delayed, but the fact that tiny updates are sitting in silence as well is really starting to make me concerned. I'm honestly surprised that with all of the feedback about lack of communication there hasn't even been updates for small things like the moonstone ore to at least assure us that stuff is still going on in the background. Ngl, as much as I adore LW and have had such high hopes (and still mostly do), I've even considered selling my KS stuff... I'm just getting worried.
