How to obtain fluorescent gemstones?

The fluorescent amulet recipe calls for 5 fluorescent gemstones. How are these obtained?

They are found by mining in the Fluorescent Fountain by mining fluorescent ore! Note, they are pretty rare, but you only need one ore to make a gemstone, like moonstone shards.

I'm only at Spooky Spires myself, but I assume that gold would have a higher drop rate in the Deep Deep.
