Wild Wolves

I'm not a WW hunter and I can't afford to pay somebody to get me some, so I decided to take matters into my own paws. It's cost me so much food and time and I hardly ever encounter them. Earlier today, I successfully befriended one only to learn that I had no space in my den. I really want more Wild Wolves, but I just don't have the time or patience. I need tips on how to get to them, or if someone's willing to hunt one for me, that would be great. I also need to know what hunting level the Wild Wolf thing is available at, because I'm only level two. And do Knucklebone Tokens actually do anything? I encountered and befriended my only Wild Wolf with just one, and I probably have ten right now. What's the probability that I will encounter one?

I had such a bad streak one time and when I finally broke it, I too had no den space.

It is all down to chance.
The Wild Wolf hunt is level one, so you can definitely do it. It requires and consumes 15K PB and 50 Knucklebones. It's essentially a pity system, so if you go 50 encounters without getting a WW, you have a guaranteed one.

It really depends on chance. Sometimes I get back to back encounters, sometimes I go 30+ stamina bars without seeing a single one. Sometimes it's 75+ encounters before I get a single wolf. However, at that point I have enough for 1.5 hunts to get a guaranteed Wild Wolf.

Just remember to stay in the sword areas, the bases don't provide WW encounters.
In the beginning, I don't recommend hyper focusing on finding WWs, as it can be pretty disheartening. Go through the different campaigns if you haven't yet, level up some wolves, etc.

I think someone did a count back then and it was around 2-3 WW per 50 encounters (no matter what you choose: bark or wag a tail).

Better WW hunting area is the second sword: you get food to keep going and also items from 3-enemies encounters. You can also bring on that hunts a 1 level wolf and level it up to 10 level - on release it will give you not only 10k pebbles, but also 1 knucklebone.

I do the swords. Glad to know I'm (kind of)on the right track!

I finished all four of the campaigns. Now all I'm doing in there is trying to get to Mistvale, spam-killing Lapistrixes, and trying to get a WW mate for Macie :,)

Mistvale content is not released yet, and the campaign stories are not finished. Stay tuned for more content. Make sure you keep a free slot if you manage to get another WW. I've only befriended 1 in 68 encounters since I started. I'm saving my knucklebones for special dates to hunt on.
