Since the beginning I’ve been kind of concerned at how “big” every single promised update was going to be. Achievements, new breed, big event, next campaign chapter, new profession, etc. It really seemed too good to be true, and super taxing on such a small team. I think small and interstitial updates are a good choice for making the site feel alive and actively developed.

Some other fun options for coloring contests may be forum vistas, forum banners, gathered items from professions (fish/food/ores/gems/seeds/trinkets), companions, and special “full body” wolf skins that cover 100% of the wolf but only fit one breed. Any sort of item that players want but normally can not get due to site rules or moonstone barriers could be a good candidate for a coloring contest. Trying to think of stuff like that without adding to the apparel backlog that makes new wolf breeds so work-intensive.

Fractured arms ain't easy to deal with! It's heartening to see the team seek out additional help for accidents, and to hear apologies for the lack of updates and aims to show that things are indeed working behind the curtains!
