I still think either way, regardless of the whole pup situation (which made me make this suggestion in the first place), blocking a player should prevent them from interacting with all aspects of your account.

Totally understand. I played another game before where unfortunately people abused the block feature to undercut other players on trades. At minimum the restriction should go both ways (i.e. blocking someone also automatically prevents you from seeing their trades), and there should be a limit on how many times you can toggle this (perhaps once a day). In a small game where there are only a handful of people regularly listing things, this can still harm market activity with snowballing effects, though, so I hope the devs will consider carefully before implementing.
To also put this in further perspective. You block someone, because you do not want to interact with them. For whatever reason, which is fine. You both still have access to the same forums, and the same features, you just don't see them, which is what works. They shouldn't be able to message you, or you be able to message them, because that is an interaction. I would love for the block button to be able to hide their posts on the forums, like how Discord does it. Those are means of interacting with someone. Buying a wolf from the Flea Market for a set price, that the seller sets, is not an interaction, since no words are exchanged, or can be exchanged. I think this is fine, since the seller still benefits from being able to sell the item/wolf/etc, and the buyer gets what they wants, they just can't bargain with the seller. The Flea Market is a public part of the site, that is just a means to exchange wolves, and items.
It would also be extremely unfair for a user to block someone, and still be able to buy the blocked person's items, and wolves, while the blocked person cannot buy the items from the person who blocked them. That could also lead to harassment in the long run, and lead to an unhealthier Flea Market. Overall, just no support for such a feature. If you're that concerned about a blocked user buying from you, use the forums instead.
No support.
There is no interaction on FM. It doesn't even tell you who bought something from you, in the case of a puppy then you can find them yourself but once I sell a wolf I've already decided I don't care about it at that point. Besides wolves aren't the only thing on the FM, idc if I don't care to talk to a person at all, if they have a good deal on a companion or something I'm after then I'll buy it from them anyways.
No support, sorry. If the site were bigger, maybe.
Blocking doesn't hide a person's posts?! Then it's completely worthless
for me, since the people I usually block are ones I don't want to see on
forums. LW really needs to do something about that.
@Chronos Oh, it does hide blocked users posts after an experiment. Shows exactly how many people I've blocked. XD I'm more free with the ad blocking of overly large signatures than I am the actual block button.
But yeah, no support from people you've blocked not being able to buy your stuff. You shouldn't be telling someone that you've blocked them in the first place, and it's because you don't want to see them. If anything, it should take the blocked user off your radar entirely, so you can avoid buying from them, more than limiting what they can do.
I don’t support this. I think if you are willing to sell a wolf, the buyer has every right to name it, breed it, release it in whatever fashion they choose. This could critically limit some users’ ability to release fodder and hinder others’ enjoyment of the game.
The alternative would be to ensure you’re only selling wolves you’re willing to lose and if a wolf is very special to you, ensure you price it high.
