For crafting, you will need to buy recipes/grind your crafting levels till you can use some of the recipes. Of course, recipes require ingredients that you must obtain first before crafting. You can buy recipes from the Mole Market, Flea Market, or trade other users for them.
Mining is pretty straightforward. I can send over a pickaxe/wheel (both are things you can craft!) for you to use and it's just mostly just checking in here and there to keep them going back and forth from the furnace to the mining spots.
For farming, you can collect seeds out in campaign or buy them from the Mole Market, Flea Market, or other users. Till and then plant your crop. You DO have to check in on them and make sure their bars for compost/water are good, unless you hire the Gardener who will watch your plants for you and keep them alive. If you keep planting the same crop/seed, it will level your seed familiarity and you will start seeing more crop returns upon harvest.
Hunting can look pretty intimidating with the "synergies" portion, but it's really simple! You will want to use wolves/companions who have the same synergies as to what the quest is asking for. If your wolves succeed in a hunt, they will get exp and bring items/pebbles back for you.
The synergies can be important if you're looking to take down a tough enemy in campaign, do the Gauntlet, do the hunting profession, or try the Arena. Otherwise, there's not much for 'stats'. Leveling up wolves can be handy as they'll help you in campaign, hunt, ect. You also get more rewards if you level up a wolf before you release it.
No wolves do not die of old age. No need to worry about that.
For events, we have some weekly activities we can do that rotate out! You can find more information on them here.
