First off, I want to start by saying that even though there are over 140,000 wolves, I do love how many relations I am finding on the FM. I'm not complaining here one bit, I genuinely enjoy accidentally finding bloodline connections.
For example, I purchased this kit, Coventry, in early July.
What a pretty little lady. She quickly grew to be one of my favorites and is now at the top of her den tab.
Now, I've been going through the FM and buying the cheapest pebble 5 digit wolves, once every few days or so, and a few days ago I got this lady here, named Akena.
It's Coventry's MOM! I somehow found her mom as the cheapest 5-digit pebble wolf and now I'm torn on releasing her or not. I almost wanna keep what's left of the family together, y'know? I went through the family tree, and of Coventry's 8 siblings, only one is not released. Her dad is released, too. And I'm not going to bother the person who has Coventry's sister.
I love going on the FM and seeing wolves that I can kinda figure out who they're related to solely on appearance. For example, this girl right here, Nutmeg.
I guarantee if you go onto the FM and find someone with her colors, they WILL be related. One time I found a single stud who matched and was not related enough for them to have pups, but I chose not to breed her, since clearly her parents are still churning out copies. And also non-breeding is part of my lore.
Does anybody else have any family they've managed to buy at different times without realizing it? I've only once had a breeding pair fail due to bloodlines, but many times I've tried to stud someone with their relatives on accident. It's crazy how I, with my 70 or so wolves, can keep finding connections amidst the 140,000 there are on the site.
