Right now they're eating every piece of cooked Oscar that I have... And completely ignoring the stack of 800+ salmon. The Oscar pile is down to just 20 or so. It must taste better.

Isopods, guppies, cooked fish, and lettuce hahaha
Fish. Just fish. And the occasional moth. Mostly catfish.
My wolves eat a nice variety of meats with the occasional jam, mushroom soup, rainbow soup, or pie. I don't really like to fish, so I don't have much fish but I like snagging cheap food from the mm when it's in stock. I never got into farming so not that many veggies. Also the occasional isopod or raw snail gets in, since autofeed loves to fill everyone, but I have the Ducky ones turned off since they're cute and rare. Sometimes when I'm out of food, I just send my wolves to the moth area, and make them eat what they catch.
hi :)
Mostly fish but also a lot of bacon, broccoli, and moths. Mm mmm!
My wolves live off bugs, veggies from farming, and cooked fish! For some reason the Mushroom Soup is one of my favorite items so I'm hoarding them (salt ugh) or else they would live off that!
I completely and utterly hand feed xD But what my wolves tend to get fed are usually what drops in whatever place I'm farming (tends to be either Western Barrens or Black Hills, so they tend to get things like moths, isopods, bamboo, bananas, and so on), with some meat (tends to be cooked salmon, I have SO MUCH) and bits of watermelon and nuts.
i refuse to auto feed anything required for recipes, so my wolves have been eating like 90% guppies lol
Fish at the moment, especially since the fishing event that's all they've been eating lol
Fish, for energy gain per cooking slot, remains the only thing that really makes sense for efficiency unless they ~spontaneously decide~ the "higher quality" meals should drop more than one of the finished item to make the time/slots actually worthwhile. :P The advanced food is only good for feeding the npcs in farming, but iirc if you had leveled your crops some, that... can be worth it for energy output vs input if you don't mind frontloading all your dogs with... was it corn or rice that was the better deal per plot? Don't remember.
A lot of people don't really care about efficiency though, and that's totally fine.
