What food are your wolves living off of?

I've noticed that with the sheer number of rodills and foliums I have on my wolves, I almost never run out of bacon. Basically every autofeed at this point is either bacon, broccoli, or lettuce, with a mushroom thrown in on the rare occasion. All the fancy, cooking-time-intensive foods are for feeding the farm helpers, so my wolves basically live off bacon and broccoli. They're gonna get so chonky.

Do you hand feed every wolf? Only autofeed certain items? Is there a specific food item you notice gets autofed every time?

Oh, my wolves would love you! I have bacon but I don't let them have it. Anything I cook (bacon, meat, fish, etc) I keep stored up... I guess in case I run out of food I'll still have something? And I save any complex meals for farming.

When I go out to train wolves to release, they mainly eat moths, isopods, snails, and an insane amount of broccoli.

Edit: apparently all of my wolves switched from preferring broccoli to corn. I'm confused lol

I stay pretty on top of cooking and fishing, so my wolves are eating a lot of fish! I don't use autofeed often--I want to save the food items that are harder to come by, and I have literally hundreds of cooked catfish and salmon.

My wolves eat a ton of fish, but when I'm doing something like grinding in the campaign and I don't want to use up a lot of cooked meals, my poor wolves eat just. so much corn.

Feasts mostly, specifically nut and veggie ones are super easy to stockpile since nuts tend to have a high yield. Bug feast is good if you do a lot of ww hunting too. 1 feast + 1 cooked fish/meat will fill a bar, so it’s pretty nice.

Mine mostly eat snails, guppies, and mushrooms. If I'm running low on those, they'll eat corn, rice, and lettuce too. I keep the simple cooked meats and fish set to the side for my free food thread, and complex meals I either use for farming or sell.

I think my favorite autofeed moment was when I was campaigning with Macsen and fed her mid-battle. She ate 3 heads of lettuce, and the idea of her pausing mid-fight, whipping out 3 whole heads of lettuce, devouring them, and then leaping back into battle was just so funny to me.

I do a lot of fishing, so my wolves mostly just eat raw or cooked fish. I only use autofeed while in campaign since it doesn't seem to have a manual feeding option. Otherwise I just manually feed my wolves so I can choose which items to feed and how much they're eating. Feeding only exactly what I need in the moment and then letting them recharge stamina on their own in between play sessions helps me not have to grind for food as often, which is definitely nice.

Catfish. I have so much from fishing and campaigning in icerun, currently 900+ cooked fillets, with almost 400 raw ones in line to be cooked.
