Support this, the retroactive referrals are being bought by people some even offering upwards of 100ms + other items. I see posts already in other games and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, the retroactive referrals don’t fix the issue. I’m now also buying referrals since I don’t have people that play pet sims and I’m just outta luck without spamming on other sites (which I refuse to do). So capitalism it is… this is depressing tbh…
While the retroactive thing was nice, I agree that it doesn't solve the issue.
Posting again to say that not only do I agree that the retroactive rewards don’t solve the issue, but that they didn’t have time to test the feature and it is buggy.
The one person I actually did introduce to the game a while back set me as the referee, but it set a totally different player when she submitted it.
It all just strikes me as poorly thought out. I also appreciate fast responses from the devs, but they’re backtracking so quickly that the features they implement aren’t working properly.
I’ve stopped doing dailies and am now only checking in to see if they’ll fix these issues. My desire to play went from 100 to 0 in one update.

The retroactive stuff is a mess, does not actually address the concerns of players, and feels a lot more like the devs saying 'here's the absolute bare minimum fix, stop complaining' which is honestly just really frustrating. There have been too many instances where it feels like the devs did not actually listen to player concerns for me to rationalize staying. I love this game, I'm super happy with my wolves and my lore, but I and others do not deserve to be disappointed and then ignored every time an update is posted.
I'm no longer actively playing and just checking in on the forums every now and then to see if there's an update to anything.
Supporting this as well, I only knew two people I could suggest this site to and I did that during open beta. Neither have been active in weeks, so even the retroactive referral doesn't work. Besides that, I've stated before that I simply hate the souldbound, exclusive companions method.
Complete support to alternative rewards, especially the moonstone purchases one. That's akin to what FR does and I think that works just fine.
I still support this, I got a couple companions however I really like the friendship token idea from other posts where site activity can be a slower way to get the companions.
This whole thing is a mess still. Now the trades sections of the forums are filled with "Buy My Referral" threads. It's so much harder to advertise my sales thread.
I know the buy my referrals thing won't last too too long, just enough for the hype to die down and taper out. I do still think the companions should be available in another fashion. Exclusivity for necessary things is never a good idea. Companions are a vital part of the play here.
