I have already gotten anyone I could to join. This isn't only a bad idea (gonna create a lot dead accounts) it's kind of mean to the players who believed in this game and already recruited anyone they could. Rewards for referrals are a great idea but FIVE exclusive items borders on contempt.

100% agreed on not having referral exclusives. Some games get away with it (like WoW) because multi-accounting is allowed, so people who REALLY want the exclusives can just recruit themselves, pay the amount needed, then get the rewards, but that's not allowed nor realistic on games like LW. Exclusives for RAF (especially ones that aren't retroactive) are just bad at this point, and if they were going to happen, should have been in from day 1 of alpha (even if there were no rewards until now).

Whether apparel, companions, forum headers, or anything else, there just shouldn't be exclusives, and especially not soulbound exclusives.

My personal favourite for the RAF system is currency, be the pebbles, MS, waters, knucklebone tokens, etc.

Frankly, if this isn't fixed, I'm probably just gonna quit. I'm likely to give it 2-3 days for them to post a "hey, we've heard you, we're thinking about this a lot" and then a week or two to announce (and a month to make) changes, but if any of those aren't met, I'm just out.

Edit: Yeah, with the system currently in place, there's already people on FR buying referrals, which I'm pretty sure violates the multi accounting rule's 'no creating accounts solely to funnel items' rule

I'm not a fan of having to rely on multiple strangers playing the game to help me finish my collection. I believe that everything (excluding the preexisting KS/Alpha/Beta rewards) should be obtainable through hard work.

I'm not impressed that previous people you've referred do not count. Regardless of my feelings on the system itself I really feel that this should have been a day one feature and is unfair to those people who already invited their friends.

Support! I don’t even think retroactive rewards should be a thing, a lot of people don’t know enough people to refer to these types of games, period. Make the companions tradable at least, then we could have a goal to save for them even if they were expensive.

This is kind of a game breaker for me…I love this game and have supported it a lot, but collecting companions was my #1 thing to do here and the wind has been knocked from my sails.

I’m not spending more money here if it doesn’t change and might flat-out leave altogether.

Support. This exclusive items or companions from referral system will only encourage more multi accounts and not helping to prevent them please remove those off the referral system and add ms or kbs per ms purchase or miletstone the new players reach like lissa proposed

I'm really bummed out about this. I'd much prefer if the referral reward was just food items or currency. Like, there's already a huge push to purchase moonstones for my collections and now you want me to be a walking billboard too? I'm feeling disillusioned with this game right now.

I 100% support this. I do think with regards to the rewards they should be either/or and not and/and. But any of those rewards are much better than the current system.

Support. I'm the only person in my small group of friends who will even play a petsite, much less enjoy it. I've tried to share stuff about the site with them, but my friends just aren't interested, and I'm worried if I somehow convince my fiancé to join, we'll get banned like FR does since we share an IP address. And lorwolf is way more strict on bans, I've heard.

I'd happily spend moonstones to get these companions, even if it was a stupidly inflated amount. But referrals just aren't going to happen to me, I don't have contacts. I have two sites to do that on- one of them is my webcomic which does not allow ANY links that leave the webpage, and the other is instagram. I barely even get people to like my posts there, getting them to sign up for this site (without forgetting to use my referral) and then keep playing long enough to get companion lvl 50 is nigh impossible. And then to do that four more times? This game isn't an MMO, you shouldn't be required to have friends to play. Feels very pyramid-schemey.

I should not have to spam the few small communities I am part of on Discord with a referral link, as someone suggested on the LW Discord. For the most part, it's rude and unwanted. The one community where it's allowed is how I found LW so the chances of me getting anyone from there are slim. There are no website communities I go to that I can post things like this, either.

The few friends that I have that are interested in joining have already done so. I don't seek out new communities so any friends I make will already be on LW.
