A little disappointed that there’s not even one new companion or apparel to collect this month besides the stuff locked behind referrals…like literally all five recolors are referral only? Just...why?
Demo seems cool, will definitely be playing around with it a bit.
you know what? The more I think about this the more angry I get. Five. FIVE. You really have no faith in us that we weren't already trying to get everyone we know signed up? Most of us did, most of us are out of leads now and you do this to us.
I want to collect everything, that's always been draw of pet-sims. This is a total block and I don't see the point of spending any more money on this site if you're going to make this impossible. I'll renew if you fix this. Otherwise, I'll still play - maybe much more casually - but my wallet is closed.

Achievements are something that I was hoping for, since I have seen how much it changes up the game on sites like FlightRising, and makes me want to spend more time on the site. I spend most of my time here anyway, but I can't wait to see what achievements bring to the table ! :D
I won't repeat what people have said but I do agree that the companions should not be soulbound, nor an invite reward.. I believe moonwater/mooonstones as rewards would suffice. If not, there will be lots of botting and multi accounts because not everyone has many friends to invite. ^^;
Additionally, invite system may need to keep in mind of previous people who referred users before the invitation rewards became a thing. ^^; I know some people who have invited friends and family. (On a side note, I think it is amazing that ppl are able to play with their parents and friends and I am glad that there is more incentive to do so! I cant wait to see this game grow <3)
I am so excited for Archaeology and Puppy prediction! I hope that puppy prediction is similar to a website I have used previously, where you just input features and gender manually (and just make adding a wolf code an option!) ^^

All the referral companion requirements is going to do is encourage botting. I guess it's a good idea if that's what you want? I've checked out as none of the main concerns about the site, such as economy, have acknowledged by the devs. Decisions like these just reaffirm my decision. I hope you guys rethink things soon.
Yep, also do not like those being locked behind referrals only. I've never been good at referring people, and the fact it isn't retroactive also isn't great, since I did manage to introduce someone to this game who still is quite active as far as I know.
Also it kinda sucks also thinking on the fact that the site had two beta periods and a 2-3 month long early access, and LW has been open for two months now. A lot of people would have already referred their friends and family by now.
I am stoked to see puppies able to receive items now, that we can plant the cool alternate seeds, and that archaeology won since the other two professions didn't interest me nearly as much.
Overall, a really nice update! Excited to see the new things, and I'm glad to have more seeds and things to work with. Also nice to see some indication of what resources are going towards making.
I have to echo the concerns of everyone regarding the referral system, though. I have maybe one person I could invite who'd be willing to play long enough to get the companion. There was a suggestion thread regarding potential changes to the system that was linked... I think at the start of page 3, and I have put all my ideas there. Vaguely had another idea that I may also go and dump there. I really hope the devs will read through and acknowledge both the complaints and potential changes. Even if it's slow!
Please, devs, if you read through and agree that things should change, acknowledge it publicly. Because we need to know if this system is open to revisions or not. Even if the changes can't come immediately because you need time to code in other options. Knowing that they will come is better than feeling like we're being ignored on this. Even if you don't know the shape of them yet. Just some acknowledgement of concerns and that revisions are being discussed is all we need right now.
As someone who only voted for banking due to wanting a vault feature, but otherwise would have voted for archaeology, I'm super happy to see that not only did archaeology win the vote, but an independent vault feature is on the to-do list! Thank you!
Also loving the new seeds and recipes! (Couldn't help but suggest being able to craft white jack-o'-lanterns, in the items suggestion thread. (^____^))
The new referral companions are adorable, however, I'm sadly SOL, since 1) any friend of mine that'd be interested in LW is already playing it, and 2) I don't like making spammy referral posts on social media. X') Oh, well. I'm excited about everything else in this update, though!
I have to echo the concerns regarding the refer a friend system. Getting some water is fine and dandy but 5 exclusive companions that are also soulbound and require actual longterm commitment. Nope nope nope
