How many have done this already? I just wasted 35ms on a sex change for a wolf that turns out is related to the intended mate! This boy's paternal great grandparents are the mates parents! ;_;

My most expensive mistake so far is 50ms. He's a cool guy on his own, but doesn't fulfill the reason I even bought him. I just ended up breeding his intended mate with a stud, so at least I'll still get pups out of it somehow.

Now I actually physically draw out family trees before buying specific ones for breeding purposes.

Haven't happened to me, but someone did buy a wolf from me that was the Aunt to the wolf they had planned to mate her with! I gave them a refund and took the wolf back, so no loss for anyone involved, but it's a pain that we have no way to check.

I've done this two or three times myself. I only reached out once on a sale reversal. However, I am a firm believer in that it never hurts to ask. Anyone who reaches out to me about a mistaken purchase is very welcome to a refund. I imagine the majority of users will also be understanding or willing to work something out.

My worst offense was trying to find a mate for a gen 4 all black pup (affordable, or at least affordable then) when they were first being bred down in generation. And I found one by a different user and checked all the way back except somehow missed the progen on one side of the family tree.

I’ve done this at least 5 times now since I’ve been looking for mostly white wolves :’) They all seem to come from the same family!

This is honestly one of my worst fears! Hopefully a bloodline predictor or some such thing will be implemented to help users avoid this in the future. For now i'm sticking with drawing family trees out with pen and paper.
