I have naming conventions, so I don't tend to keep names. I find one I think is fitting based on where I which den I want them to be in. As an Example!

I always gotta change the names! All my wolves have one word names that are song titles, or part of a song title :D
90% of the time i keep the name just so i don't need to think of a new one
Unless it's something I don't consider a name I just keep. I'm not invested lorewise here as, being on mobile I can't alter wolf (or my profile) info boxes.
Selling Ace flag wolves! Bargain price!
i generally don't find myself changing names? if i buy a wolf with a name it's probably already fitting, and the one WW i've found and decided to keep has a really nice name (Rowan)
I'd normally just keep the names they have, unless I think of something more fitting. Because I'm not good at coming up with names. (I still haven't even figured out what to name the two pups I have).
idk how to put a wolf's image here (can't get a link and copy to clipboard doesn't work??) but I got this wolf from the Campaign the other day that had the worst colour scheme ever. (Grey, purple, dark green and bright red). Her name was Sterling but her colours made me think of ketchup and the Joker, so I renamed her to Crazy Hamburger after that weird video.
I like to name my wolves after something in nature, but if the name is very good already, I don't bother to change it. But still there's the guy I just bought from Flea Market which I don't know what to name yet...I named him Frosted but even I think thats terrible lol
hi :)
I usually keep them, since it feels like im honoring the prev owner in a way?? Makes em feel more special :>> Sometimes I do change it up if I don't think the name fits as well as it could, but even then I try to work around the og name in a sense...
I usually keep the names they come with if I like it or I keep it till I think of something I like as a place holder.
I do sometimes, but not always.
If a name that's already attached to them really pops, and just "goes with them" in my opinion, it remains... but if the pet's name just seems really off putting based on gender, species, etc I tend to turn to my fandoms and allow them a little bit of a geekier persona. haha.
