Howdy y'all! Hunting week is starting soon. Hunting can be pretty frustrating for new players, so I wanted to put out this simple guide for team building.

This guide is for getting hunts out of the way quickly. It focuses strictly on the teams themselves and does not include required items, rewards, etc.,

More About This Guide

Hunts are separated by level and then sorted alphabetically. Guides will follow this general format:

• Name: The name of the hunt.
• Synergies: List of the synergy dots needed (assailant, protector, etc.,)
• Total Dots: Total number of synergy dots needed.
• Team Slots: How many wolves/companions can be used
• Beginner: Easiest team for beginners—starter wolves and low- to medium-cost pebble Mole Market companions.
  
• Best Free: Best team including non-starter wolves, high-cost Mole Market companions, and event/arena/profession companions. (Kapros is included here.)
• Best Overall: Best team including moonstone/Kickstarter companions.

Best free/overall may be omitted if the beginner/free team is already the best available, especially for lower level hunts where there are dozens of possible options.

Team effectiveness is rated by how many dots are filled rather than success percentage. For example, if the hunt has a total of 9 dots and the best team fills 7 of them, it will be rated 7/9.

It is assumed that you always meet the recommended party level. Those are listed within the hunting page itself, and they are usually pretty easy to meet. (Exception: The Level 45 hunts.)

General Hunting Tips
Your best friends starting out are Lupins, Rodills, and Grougers. Later on, stock up on Zerdas, Nythas, and Canictonis.

When building a team, think about the maximum number of dots you can fill with wolves first, because wolf synergies are more limited. Move on to the companions afterward.

You do not have to succeed at the hunt to claim the hunting activity. If you have a low-level hunt that you can’t do well on but don’t want to spend pebbles on a refresh, just send one random wolf on it to get rid of it—you’ll get the activity either way. Don’t stress! (For some of the higher level hunts, it may be cheaper to refresh than to use the required items/food for a false hunt.)

That being said, it’s almost always worth it to try. As long as you hit the recommended party level—which is usually easy to do—you only need to get one dot to be more likely to win than lose.

During Hunting Holiday Week: You only need to complete 80 hunts. That's 12 per day. Pretty doable!

Not all hunts have a 100% success team option. That’s part of the risk and fun!

The Level 2 Treasure Chests are the first hunts that require food and certain items to start. They take longer than the other Level 2 hunts, but the rewards are better. All players have access to all treasure chest hunts regardless of the pack that they belong to.

Are you doing the higher levels too? For Moving Shadows (L25) I've had success with Volmyr + Darkspine Enderling + Lupin + Kapura + Zerda (90%).

@bonibaru I do have partial data gathered for those but am leaving it off for now. I wanted to get the guide out in time for hunting week and am somewhat of the impression that players who've gotten to the Level 25+ hunts probably won't go looking for guides like this? But I will keep record of any suggested teams for them in my private file in case I do include them later. Thank you for the contribution!

That being said, I did a 13/15 (93.3% success chance) combo with Unwelcome Guest (L25) if you want the info for later - Lupin + Goldsea Enderling + Zerda + Grouger + Kit.

Wow thank you for the interest! I can start including the higher hunts and will try to get these posts and the the data I already have included tonight after work.

On thing though: I'll take any information provided, but it would be most usable if it came with the required dots in addition to the team used. This is actually a little tricky with the highest level hunts because some of them have the same description (and sometimes even the same required item) but different dots. I'll show an example below.

Back before I gave up on recording them all, I found it was easiest to just take screenshots instead of writing it down. (I'd come up with the newbie-friendly team later if needed.)

So like this? Just got this one, I'm wondering if the monster hunts don't change since I recall it looking very similar if not the exact same the first time I did it (and I didn't 100% it that time, but I also believe I did not think to add a furmus then.).
