Besprinkle

I know that it randomizes color but most of the time they don't even look good, whenever I use it, it feels like a waste of ms cause they seem to be worse off then the last time I besprinkled something. I would rather prefer one of the following things, in no particular order.

1. Keep the cost the same but have the option to stick with the old colors if the new roll is an eye sore, you'd still use your besprinkle up but at least you could pick between changing the color or keeping it the same.

2. You know how you can preview pups, what if it gave 2-4 options (whichever would make the most sense) and you choose one you like the most (I am sure they could still be eye sores but I guess at least you can pick your poison. )

3. Keep it the same but make them cheaper, like between 15-25 ms for something so random it's rare there's anything that's decent.

4. Maybe a besprinkle that can change one color layer so if it's a decent purple wolf palette but if the neon green feet doesn't suit your fancy then maybe you could randomize to something else in hopes it comes out less of an eye sore

5. Have it randomize but in a way where the colors don't clash as much?

This game is very cute though, in the end this isn't really a big deal in the end. I know games can be hard to code so it's understandable if any of this isn't possible for one reason or another.

I think 5 is too subjective and therefore quite impossible to do. Some people like so called eyeburners, while others like purples and blues and yet someone else prefers all natural shades of grey and brown. Some people like the combination of red and blue, or brown and blue, while someone else would define that as clashing and would prefer all colours to be different shades of the same colour to not be considered clashing..It is impossible to define a single 'no clashing result' that will keep everyone happy.

I like the idea of making the current besprinkler a tad cheaper, consdering the fact that there are so many layers being randomized and such a large amount of colours can be chosen from, that the chance of getting something you don't like is quite huge.

On top of that I personally really like the idea of having single layer besprinklers. These should be more expensive than the complete randomizer, but considering the fact that there's still 4 layers (eyes not counting) and 200+ colours, the chances of you getting a colour you like that matches the other colours in all 4 slots is most likely still gonna drain your savings. (In short, it would not make anything too easy)

As for being able to revert your latest besprinkle or having several random options to choose from... From a player who can't do art and therefore has an awful hard time making MS and has loads of wolves I want to besprinkle, YES. Especially the revert; considering it still consumed the besprinkler I don't see any harm done there. The pup-like preview with several options feels a bit too OP tho. You basically get 4 besprinklers for the price of 1.

Agree with Gaia, as much as I like option 2, it's OP, and 5 is too subjective. Although maybe there could be a super besprinkler that works like option 2?

I think I'd like 3 and 4 combined into a new item, we already have an eye besprinkler--why not more single layer besprinklers? (They could even cost pebbles like the eye layer, which would make a great renewable pebblesink.)

I'm neutral to positive on option 1--I would definitely use them more if I had the option to undo a bad besprinkle (even at the cost of the item) and it would probably get more people to buy them, but it takes away some of the risk/randomness of the concept. (And some people who have already used besprinklers to disappointing results may feel sour about it)

TL;DR: Make cheaper (pebble?) single layer besprinklers, and either leave the base item alone or implement option 1 for all. Option 2 could be its own item maybe too.

To me, who doesn't earn a lot of money, I don't really understand the point of a besprinkler. Most of the time, the wolf would come out "ugly" to my eyes, and it costs 35 MS? I mean, there are wolves I like that only cost 1-5 MS.

ETA: I definitely think the single layer besprinkler would be far more useful.

ETA 2: How about a new "gradient" besprinkler? For example, the colors might be pulled from black to cloud, or ice to blizzard, or powder to pear, etc. So you could have a wolf that only has greens, or blues, or is grayscale, etc.

I absolutely LOVE rolling Besprinklers but I definitely agree - a couple bucks per roll can be a lot when you're having some rough luck. One of mine took 8 sprinkles because yeEHAW we were getting some nasty color combos, haha. That's in the realm of the $25 of moonstones.

For me as a player that isn't a lot with my current income, but that is very prohibitive for the vast majority of players.

Of OP's suggestions I especially like 2 and 3. Cheaper would definitely be very fair so that a bad luck streak doesn't rack up cost quite so quickly, and having a few options per sprinkle also sounds VERY FUN imo as someone who really loves to roll the dice.

I'd also suggest a couple of extra avenues of getting besprinklers without moonstones, such as high level hunts that need you to bring companions to match all the symbols and maybe even a particularly rare/expensive crafting recipe that takes a few moonstones and a lot of dyes to craft. Nothing too easy since clearly it's meant to be a moonstone shop item, of course, but having an extra little besprinkler goal to aim for in some games can be a fun incentive as well!
