I think we shouldn't have the default sort of the CA shop be price ascending* because I'm worried there's inevitably gonna be artists that sell their creations at a loss by mistake by seeing someone's discounted CA and mistaking it for the expected price of that type of apparel
There could also be concerns with non-artist players who don't off the top of their head remember the price of a CAT actively expecting to buy CA at a loss to the artist by passively always seeing discount runs when they navigate to the page or even harassing artists for having their CA "cost too much" [i've already gotten dms personally with Very low alternative offers which is. rude btw, don't do that and this'll inevitably encourage that kind of behavior further]
[It'll also lead to users mostly seeing smaller CA on the front page that are harder to see on a preview which makes it a less exciting looking storefront that might make people decide that nah, they're good actually which cuts into artists' profits as a whole]
[I also noticed it sends pebble stuff all the way to the back so a new player may assume 'oh nvm it's for people that spend real money' and just never check back again]
Maybe remaining ascending being the default sort could be cute for that excitement of buying the last copy, or newest created as many people suggest, but it doesn't really matter which.
People will still be able to look for the cheapest CA anyway since the option is there, but it won't encourage undercutting at a loss/drive price expectation down as much
There also should probably be a warning before setting your apparel price below 25 MS/250,000-375,000 pebbles saying that you will not break even if you set it so low due to the CAT price [and also so typos are caught]
*I would Really Prefer ascending/descending not be abbreviated to asc/desc for clarity too but that's just nitpicking
