At the top right of every page, you can see the amount of currency you have (moonstones, tickets, pebbles) but the pebbles count starts to get shortened and rounds up after a while. This gets rather misleading, as you're being shown that you actually have a higher pebble count than you actually do when you hover over it... Here's an example.

It says I have 1.4 million pebbles, but I actually have 1.396 million. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather know exactly how much currency I have at a time rather than a guesstimate and needing to hover over it each time to check.

It's rather minor, but this can get really annoying when you're working up to a certain currency goal and you think you've finally made it, but not quite... I feel like this should be changed to just. get rid of this shortening system altogether. The space on the currency box clearly accommodates a large amount of numbers, as I have edited the image to show what my pebble count would look like without it being shortened, and it looks just fine?

Or at the very least, please stop rounding up the pebble count. I've gotten caught up on this at least twice now. :(

I really like the shortening system because it makes the numbers easier for me to process, but I do agree that the rounding ends up very misleading and should be reconsidered.

Support!! Or give us a toggle for those who do want rounded numbers and for those who don't.

I personally also don't like the shortening happening in the Flea Market and Mole Market. To be fair it is not rounding here, but that makes it worse imo.. Here is why; While it may technically make things less cluttered IF all items are multiples of 1000, people don't always price their items like that. Heck, people often try to undercut one another or try to make up for the pebble tax on the FM and price their items at 10,001 or 9,999. Having the prices jump from 10k to 10,0001 to 11k to 11,501 just makes it way more cluttered and achieves the oppositve effect of what was originally intended. Additionally, I associate short prices with small prices. Instinctively I will therefore interpret 10k as less than 9,999 simply because 10k has less digits, making me instinctively assume it is 10 times as cheap as the 9,999. Ofcourse I know it isn't, but when you are browsing the FM and think to have find an absolute steal, sometimes the registration of the actual price can come too late. So personally I would much rather prefer if they remove the shortening (or as I said, make it possible in the account settings to let someone toggle shortining/rounding on or off)

while i don't mind the shortening, i feel it should at least be toggleable. for accessibility reasons if nothing else.

as for the rounding up, to be blunt, i hate it. aside from the fact i'm someone who really needs to know the exact amount for things like this, i don't actually understand why it's even a thing. isn't it just, y'know...lying? is there a reason and i'm just out of the loop?

i hate the shortening myself, i'm bad enough at math as it is.

I don't mind the rounding, but I'd prefer for it to round down. If you round down, then you won't run into the problem of thinking you have more than you actually have.

Support, shortening is fine, but rounding up is a bad idea. (But also, being able to see my actual count would be better).

Related: Either stop rounding currency sales in FM or allow a hover option that allows the buyer to see exactly what they are buying. (If this feature already exist, it does not work in Firefox?)

I've been selling a lot of pebbles for MS lately and I have seen some very strange behavior in the listings that suggests people are using the rounding to manipulate the market.

Example: I'll see that the going rate for single MS is listed at 12.3KPS:1MS. Seeing this, I post mine for 12300 pebbles for 1 MS exactly--I am polite, I don't want to undercut, I will wait my turn. Yet my listing winds up being on top. This leads me to believe that the person's listing is actually for 12251 or something that just rounds to 12.3K in the actual listings. But because I am actually selling 12300, I end up accidentally undercutting them--but also exposing the hustle, at least to myself.

This isn't a big deal for the little 1MS sales but could actually be a pretty big difference in the bulk sales. It's also just generally unfair to the buyers and, idk, greasy.


NVM I decided to make some fake FM listings to see if I could make the rounding thing happen and it didn't seem to work. Still not sure how my (real) listings wound up on top like that though.

@Baubor it might also be possible that you set it to expire in one day while the other listing was set to be active for longer! Listings that will expire faster will show up first
