Soooo I might have done a bit of a speedrun on the campaign and finished it already xD

What does everyone do once they complete the campaign? I don't really understand the breeding aspect of the game, it seems complicated (it probably isn't but I'm very new to this sort of setup lol). I'm definitely working on getting my levels up in all of the activities, and of course I'd like to be an active member of the community as well!

Just wondering how people spend their time on here and what they focus on once the campaign is complete :3

I've given myself the personal goal to own all the companions, and have enough wolves to pair them with. I'm sure that will take me months, especially as more companions are added, but I'm also motivated to: get every cooking recipe, afford all my gene projects, unlock the profession-bound events in the campaign, and develop a Gauntlet team that'll get me like level 15 and above. Right now, I'm just on my pebble/moonstone grind so I can afford everything, and that takes up most of my gameplay.

With the campaign done, you've got a lot of options for what to progress in. There's no "right" thing to do, it's really a matter of what kinds of goals you want to set for yourself, and what you find fun/fulfilling!

Collecting and breeding wolves is indeed a major aspect of the gameplay. Some people like to search for and collect wild wolves with nice colors or interesting ID numbers. Others don't particularly care about the generation number of their wolves and are just trying to create critters with color palettes that appeal to them! You probably already know about the Demo page, where you can try out any combo of markings and colors -- I sometimes play around in there to create a wolf I like the look of, and then set a goal to acquire a breeding pair to create that wolf (or get lucky and find it in the FM directly!).

The breeding mechanic is a little tricky to get used to, but not actually that complicated! Basically, if you envision all the possible Lorwolf colors on a big wheel, a puppy's color in a given slot will be somewhere "in between" the parents' colors in that slot. So, say one parent's base color is Black and the other parent's base color is Slate. The puppy's base color could be either Black, Slate, or the color in between those two: Midnight! This color predictor can really help.

Leveling up the activities to collect resources, recipes, apparel, and useful items is a great thing to do, too - and it sounds like you're already on it! Up to you whether you just want to collect stuff, or learn the ins and outs of the Flea Market to sell materials etc. for currency (I'm a hoarder, myself, because I find it tricky to keep track of the market, but there's probably good pebbles to be made!)

Have you tried the Arena? It's a fun battle game you can play against bots and other users of the site, and pretty easy to get the hang of! There are some unique rewards you can only get in exchange for Arena currency.

There's a pretty fun art community forming here, too. I've had a lot of fun making Custom Apparel, and the CA chat over on the official Discord is a nice place to hang out if you want to dip your toes into that scene.

I have come to a similar question myself! After campaign, is it just to gain more powerful wolves? I am not sure.

I just plan on getting lots of pretty wolves, collecting items, cooking all the food recipes available, collecting companions and more ^^

It can also help you in the gauntlet to get more rewards to have stronger wolves by training them in higher level campaign areas.

Thank you again for all the information!! This will be super useful, plus I have a goal already because I found a guide that tells you what wolves to use if you're grinding for high value stuff in the campaign. I'll definitely try out the arena as well!

the campaign was extremely fun! so it's no surprise some of us completed it so fast. ^^ what i like to do now it's finished till the next update, is i like to hunt for wild wolves in hopes of getting some pretty ones for current wolves i own as i'm trying to make a couple breeding pairs now. i also enjoy leveling up all my wolves to 10. also enjoy just breeding at random and seeing what wolves make appealing offspring lol. i like checking in on my professions every hour or so and progressing with those. :) i enjoy being part of the community too, just wish the forums were still as active as they were around launch.

Here are some of my goals:

• Get all (not retired) companions
• Max all companions
• Max all wolves
• Max all professions (if there is a cap lol; otherwise just level enough to unlock all scenarios)
• Breeding projects! There's some wolves from beta I want to recreate. If you need inspiration for breeding projects of your own, head to the demo and spam randomize until you get something workable, then tweak until it's gorgeous! This is a super long term goal, especially with the number of color slots and currently small pool of wolves (plus how many great combos I keep coming across lol)

I finished the campaign pretty quickly, so now I'm trying to save up for CA for my wolves. I'm also trying to get my professions leveled up, and I'd like to try and collect all companions at some point.

I agree with what everyone else says, I also did a speedrun through the campaign and now I want to focus on other things like maxing out fishing and making apparel

the campaign is really easy to speedrun, hah. i completed it in a few hours on the first day

im currently leveling up my professions as i feel a little burned out by grinding so much.. anyways you can set up some silly goals like hoarding an absurd amounts of an item(s)

I'm... trying to breed more Zerdas.
