This is already a feature when hovering over your own currently possessed currency:
Currency will be abbreviated to a shortened form (i.e. 60K) and when you hover over it you see the full amount (i.e. 60,000).
This is not the case everywhere though, and certain articles in the Flea Market and Mole Market only display the numbers in their shortened form. Sometimes entering the purchase screen displays the full price, but this isn't always the case.
As someone who is absolutely horrible with numbers, I often have no clue how much the abbreviated amount would actually be. I'd appreciate if I could easily see the full amount of a price at any time.
