Would you try them if they were offered to you? What do you think they would taste like?
As someone who isn't exactly averse to the idea of eating bugs, I think i'd be more than happy to give it a go... no idea what it would be like though.

they kinda look like they'd have a similar texture to jelly, or a sweet you chew and in the middle there's a liquid... neither of which I really don't like. :') so would be a pass for me.
I don't know if I'd order them at a restaurant, but if I was at someone's house and they made a bug steak for me I'd at least try it. And the colors would probably make for some really pretty dishes, there's lots of brightly colored veggies you could pair with them! You could even dye some eggs green and have a "Green Eggs and Ham" day.

yes. nice grub
Yeah, sure. I'd give them a try. I'll try almost anything, providing the smell isn't off-putting. lol
this is exactly the kind of lore talk I need in my life and I say 10/10 absolutely would try. They definitely look juicier than most water bugs we eat, so I'm guessing they've got more of a meaty flavor?? the fact that they grill into steaks but keep their internal colors is THRILLING to me and I second the guess that they have sort of a gummy texture.
browning indicates that there's some sort of sweetness at least, if I remember how that works right??
the SWIRL though is such a mystery to me, I'm stuck eternally wondering what would cause the muscle tendons to align like that and what that texture would be like. most meat withdraws along the tendon paths when cooked, which would leave the cuts donut-shaped, but we see that that's not how it works with these??
anyway I am HERE to overthink this. I am all about this. A+ thread. I love this.

The colors are a BIT funky and remind me of desserts but I'm always down to try new stuff IRL. Bugs are a pretty good source of protein, I just wish they were more popular here in the US so I could buy them haha
Forbidden fruit gusher... mmmm
ok but they look tasty when they're cooked, don't they?
