Does Studding lower the value of a wolf?

So specifically...I want to make a gen 1 bracchus breeding pair, but finding a mate is not going to be easy. I was curious if studding the gen 1 bracchus before finding a mate would then lower the value of future gen 2 bracchuses. Also, would they still be considered pure pups? (I think pure means both parents are the same breed, but does having non-bracchus siblings lower the value of subsequent pups or make them not "pure"?)

Also, sorry if this isn't really the place to ask! I am thinking it's fine, since this is a "discussion", but sorry if I misinterpreted.

I don't really know much about studding and gen 2 trading, so I don't know how people feel about this.

If a wolf is valuable to you, then it shouldn't matter what you do with it. YOU like it. It's yours, and that makes it valuable to you.

As far as the idea of pures go, I think it only applies to the pup in question. That's a goal I have no interest in because breeding for specific color combos is going to be difficult enough, without worrying about a lineage that's not traceable at the moment.

@Synesthesia Of course xD

But that doesn't really count when it comes to selling pups.

I do think most people at current are more concerned with breeding for good colors. So if you have a pair that has some stranger siblings, I don't think it'll be a problem, since the siblings are only tangentially connected to the pup you're selling. For specific pairings, it's also more useful to breed the male in between breedings. I've got a Zerda/Volymr pairing, where I can get a stud on the Zerda out before the Vol's ready again. The only downside I can really see is if you like the pups having names, and by studding out, you don't really have control over that.

@Synesthesia

Mk, this is very true. I might stud even if/when I find a mate. I'll have to find some people who know a lot about gen 2 trading and ask about it xD

On FR, I haven't ever heard of it affecting the value of g2 pups. Of course the value of the g1 will go down once it's bred at all but the past history of the g1 parents really doesn't matter when it comes to g2s.

@Lycoris

That's great news! I'll most likely be studding them out, then c:
