been making a nice little hoard of corn and cooked meat for backups if i'm ever in need of a some extra food. also hoarding all the food items that can't be cooked but look suspiciously like they might end up as ingredients for something later on.
I haven't been letting my wolves eat any of the "oddball" food like bananas and kiwis and such because I'm convinced they'll be used in a recipe or something eventually. It's worked out several times already (bear ribs, sugar cane, etc.,) so I don't see myself breaking this habit ever.
I also hoarded a bunch of basidios early on so that I can level pups up. That wound up being silly because I so far only ever have one litter at a time, but I suppose that might changed eventually.
Moths (unintentionally) because they feed 15 food points and 100 isn't divisible by 15 so if I were to auto feed them, I'd be wasting food points. I have thousands of moths.
