I've been selling them fairly steadily when I list for pebbles. MS wolves will sit for awhile, sometimes they sell if they're quite pretty or rare genes.

I don't really play other breeding petsim games besides FR, but honestly I think part of the problem is how short the breeding cooldowns are. I think they do vary per breed rarity, but for example bracchus are 10 days. On FR, the most common breeds are 15 days, and each incubation requires an interaction over 5 days. I've been feeling like it's just too easy to breed wolves here, and I already have a massive collection from largely my own puppies. Combining with being able to make as many wolves as you are able be expecting at once, it just has really exploded.

Definitely though, the biggest problem with wolf population is that releasing doesn't give enough rewards.

Some sort of positive churn needs to be encouraged.

Right now LW is relying on people just getting frustrated with den space to release their excess beasts with little incentive. That is inefficient and more likely to result in people just not breeding or even looking to buy in the first place.

I don't think this even works to encourage people to concern themselves with "quality pairs" which is subjective to begin with, but even if that was the intention... It doesn't address the main issue of den space, and I don't think policing how people breed their critters is very good for the site either. It may not be my cup of tea, but some people just like to see what happens when they throw two random dogs together and limiting their fun by making it excessively difficult or unrewarding to move the sometimes highly unfortunate fruits of their efforts is a good way to alienate them from the game entirely.

Again, I don't think it's about making virtual puppy mills the most profitable way to play the game, and I don't think the people frustrated they can't sell want that either, it's just making it profitable enough to reach a parity between dogs entering the game and being removed from it.

They sell really slowly, and usually for cheap. Ugly ones I unfortunately have to toss out but sometimes I manage to get a wolf a new home, takes some time!

I tend to be able to sell all the progen g2s in my litters except one, which I use for trading when they become an adult. It seems like people have probably bought a handful of wolves for gameplay and are now getting picker or less interested in buying due to space or saving for other things.

I recently sold a 5 digit G1 for 5ms but that's about it. Everyone's trying to save moonstones for custom apparel and such so aren't as willing to spend on wolves, which are becoming much more common.

Its inevitable that wolves will stay low in value since they're easy to get/breed more of and that's fine. But I do think that the release payout needs a massive buff to incentivise releasing unwanted wolves and help the health of the site. Something like 1kp as a base and up to 30kp for a levelled wolf. Plus moonstone shard chances, like FR has for exalting.
