I'm not sure if this is something that can or will be fixed but I thought I'd list my observations.

I've recently started using a VPN, and have tried accessing this site using two different (paid) VPN services to confirm that the specific service or server etc wasn't the issue. It seems to only be impacting this site, as my other browsing isn't affected.

With the DNS ad blocker of the VPN turned on, the site becomes unusable. I'll take this moment to mention that I have a paid membership to LW so, questions of supporting the site aside, there shouldn't be any ads to begin with so it's strange that it would be hanging up so badly. Every page takes forever to load, if it ever does, and every action (completing activities, attempting to click any profession button, etc) pops up the "something went wrong" error after some loading time.

I tried testing a bit and it seems to only be the DNS ad blocker that it's choking on. I can turn on DNS blocking of malware, trackers, etc and it runs just fine. Maybe ad blocking has an inherent script blocking and that's part of the issue? But LW works fine in a browser with an ad blocker, albeit not DNS level. I did try enabling and disabling the DNS ad blocker of both VPNs in turn, again in case the VPN itself was the problem but both had the same result.
