I assume people are basing this word off of hatchery or cattery, but the word is kennel. a kennel is a place that stores, breeds, and sells dogs. This is definitely my ocd talking, but also, i just think it's super funny that puppery became the accepted word.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if its derived from hatchery but I would assume people aren't going for kennel because its too... doggy? It would feel weird to see it on a wolf site since in my mind its a Dog term.

I doubt I'll be doing the kind of breeding that would make one worth it (I'm just winging it right now) but it is tempting to make a thread to sell adults and call it a Doggerel.

Puppery is cute! It's funny to see folks coming up with canine-themed alternatives for hatchery (hello FR users!); I've seen "howlery" at least once and that one got a good chuckle out of me.

I LOVE puppery! I also love seeing cat breeders using Cattery IRL. Makes my brain feel good xD
