I Think there should be an option disable gifs on peoples signatures, The moving images are very distracting to me, and I believe it will help people with epilepsy if they had an option to turn it off

Maybe they can add an option that, when turned on, covers/hides gifs behind an option to show it? So you can click a button to view it. More important in forum posts than signatures, but I'm thinking there will be cases where viewing a gif is important to understanding the thread, and it'd be a pain to go, turn on gif viewing, view the gif, go back to options, turn back off gif viewing. Having it hidden behind some sort of clickable spoiler tag, essentially, might be a good middle ground.
I don't even have epilepsy or other concerning eye issues, but people definitely put unpleasant gifs in signatures sometimes.
Support for the clickable spoiler idea. Maybe do what discord does and make it so the gif only plays on hover? but it's a still frame until then? Person with epilepsy here.

There are ways for users to disable gifs for all websites. Guide: Here. I would recommend anyone with a high level of sensitivity to utilize one of these methods.

But support! I don't personally suffer from epilepsy or anything that gifs would trigger, but I know that other people do. Especially fast moving/bright flashy gifs. Those bright flashy ones hurt my eyes >>
100% support this. I would also support signature limits, so we don't get signatures that take up half the page each time someone posts.
Support, though preferably I'd like a universal ban on flashing gifs on site, I'm pretty sure there's one in place already actually via tos, but an option to only play gifs on site on hover or a click to play or replacing gifs with static images via an accessibility toggle would be nice, whatever would be easier.

That said I am a person with severe photosensitivity issues and do already use gif blocking addons in my own browsers. I don't think I'd ever veto any accessibility features just in general unless they were too difficult to implement but I do agree large gifs shouldn't really be allowed, just as a courtesy thing (though I haven't personally seen any around? It might be because I'm on mobile tbh)
