PLEASE hide people's entire forum presence from me when I block them, not just their post! I've already seen a forum signature gif which I find dizzying and nauseating, especially when I'm trying to read. Please allow me to block people to hide their signatures if we are allowed to use gifs as signatures. It can especially be harmful for some with certain medical conditions. Blocking should hide profile pictures too. Some people may see triggering content with custom apparel and should be able to block to hide everything.

Note: Before someone says it, I'm aware you can use the block element feature with an adblocker, but I really don't think adblockers should be encouraged by the site's choices when I'm sure some of the site's revenue comes from ads.

Edit: I wanted to add a suggestion that was mentioned below to have an account settings option that completely disables forum gifs (or at least signature gifs, but imo it should the entirety of the forums for the safety of those with medical conditions). And/or perhaps an option to just disable signatures entirely. That way blocking isn't even necessary. However, I am not changing my original point, blocking should 100% hide pfp and signatures regardless if there was an option to disable gifs or not.

I would appreciate a Block Signature function for both safety and accessibility. Moving gifs CAN and will cause epileptic episodes or cause harm to individuals sensitive to motion.

Oh god yes please, I hate GIFS, they hurt my eyes 9 times out of 10.

Please add this. GIFS give me massive migraines, especially if there's a lot of movement. If someone is blocked you shouldn't have to deal with anything of theirs at all.

I would absolutely appreciate a way to block signatures, especially if gifs are allowed. I get photosensitive migraines and vertigo, and depending on what kinds of gifs people are putting in their signatures, the forums could quickly become completely inaccessible for me.

Support. Adblock is not available on all devices and shouldn't be necessary for signatures to begin with. Blocking signatures from blocked users and having the ability to disable them altogether is very important for user safety and accessibility.

Completely agree. I would actually love an account settings option to just disable gifs. I don't like blocking people, I'd prefer to interact with the forums instead of hide it away, but I despise signature gifs. A part of me wishes they weren't allowed at all because they will absolutely cause people harm, but an option to disable gifs in the forums would be a massive improvement and great compromise.

I have epilepsy and I support this. You'd think there'd be etiquette by now not to use flashy gifs?? But I guess not.

I agree with the above posts. Moving pictures in forums are mighty distracting for me and depending on how fast the movement is, I tend to get migraines from them, too. Would really appreciate the ability to stop gifs from moving or hide them or something like that.

Am very photosensitive, I usually just block gif elements on my own browsers but that said, I'm not really sure why blocking doesn't remove signatures of people you block? Either way, support. I want to see no presence of people I block ideally.
