I hate to be a party pooper, but didn't Quiche say that the June Dev update would address the moonstone/pebble economy concerns? “

uh, yeah, what Coop said?

Don’t get me wrong, I love the plans you’ve got, sounds pretty exciting all in all, but I was really hoping for some reaction to our concerns regarding the moonstone/pebble issues.

Seeing the new background artist application for a moment made me so happy Lorwolf felt ready to rework the graphics that I was ready to forgive the fact that the economy issues weren't addressed as initially promised. Oh well, it is what it is.

Trying to make some changes and having a roadmap is good and all, but we were told by Quiche that the economy and balancing issues would be addressed in this development update. They were not. And the changes to professions aren't the ones the player base is crying out for, although some kind of change is better than nothing.

We players kind of feel lied to a little right now. It seems like you are avoiding reducing the amount of monetization this game has. Which I don't think is the right way to go about it since a lot of us aren't happy with it. There is so much custom apparel being made, which is most of the site's current apparel, and all of it is for moonstones. I think the game has a perfect reason for players to buy moonstones for that.

Professions don't need to be monetized. I don't see why anyone would buy moonstones to get an expansion, but apparel, on the other hand, is a different story as making your wolves look desirable is of high priority to the players. Too many things being for moonstones is causing this imbalance. Changing the expansions back to be for pebbles would greatly help fix the issue.

I have to agree with what many others here are saying. Really enjoying the new items, however I feel the den expansions and profession expansions need to be pebbles. Having all that stuff be moonstones just makes things frustrating and makes me (and probably many others) not want to play as much. One should not be required to spend premium currency just to move forward in a game, that's when a game starts going in a pay to win direction and nobody likes that.

Though I was initially excited to see any update at all, I am starting to echo what others are saying myself.

@Lumilie said it well. I agree with this.

and @cinder is right about the pay to win direction.

people will always play and pay for your game if it’s fun. I would listen to the players on what’s fun. And people will always spend real money for custom apparel.

Myself, I love supporting indie games that I enjoy. But I can see myself not wanting to put any more money into this if community concerns aren’t addressed. Potential loss of customers which is not what you’re going for I think

cool, new pride apparel

but just getting new pebble items does not fix the economy problem.

I was promised that the economy problem was going to be addressed in this update. where is that information, team? you could at the very least inform us that it is coming later this month rather than staying silent entirely.

(EDIT) looking through this thread I see a lot of comments about this and I am very concerned. you are alienating part of your playerbase. stop it. just address the actual problem already before you bring in anything new. that roadmap isn't going to do you any good if you can't even answer the one question the community wants an answer to.

I am not completely disappointed by this update, though I am still among those who are critical of it. To start with the positives, I am glad that the roadmap has more Pebble items in the Mole Market as a priority (the few items released so far are not enough on their own but it seems there will be more in the future). I am also glad that more Pebble sinks were added to the activities. The pebble:ms ratio on the Flea Market has already gone down from 13-15kp:ms back to 10kp:ms, which I am happy to see. I am also glad to have seen other changes implemented by staff that were in suggestions. However.

That still doesn’t change the fact that the update didn’t address the biggest source of frustration for users: the fact that profession expansions are now in MS. There has been such an uproar in the community about it, second only to the uproar over the 100 knucklebone tokens incident. And yet so far staff has had near radio silence on the economy except for mentioning 1) more pebble sinks and 2) the fact that achievements would give out MS. While I don’t think from this that the economy is being totally neglected, I am displeased at the fact that the expansions costing MS issue has continued to not be explicitly addressed—disappointed enough that I’ve decided that I’m going to vote with my wallet on this. I have spent around $600-$800 on MS so far here and I had plans to keep it up, but I will be canceling my monthly membership as soon as I get home and I will not be giving this site another cent until I see staff taking further steps to alleviate my fellow players’ concerns. If I need MS for something, I will buy gems from Flight Rising and trade them for MS. I don’t care if the g:Ms ratio is 15:1 and I’ll be paying more money—I would rather spend an extra $5-$10 on a site I believe is reliable than $0.01 on a site that I and many others have doubts about. I hope none of this sounds too harsh—I just want to have greater certainty about the site’s future before I spend more, and frankly, seeing the most important economic issue going unaddressed is not giving me a lot of confidence.

I haven't found the bone paste recipe, or the new companions other than the hedgehogs? When will it update and add them?

I am very confused about the choices with the bulk bone paste.

The ability to craft 10 bone paste at once requires level 30, and costs 45 of the crafting tickets.

The ability to craft 25 bone paste at once requires level 60, and costs 200 crafting tickets.

Both of these are soulbound. I don't understand the purpose at all of adding a feature that's supposed to be a quality of life improvement and then making you jump through extremely high hoops just to use it at all. This isn't what people meant when they said they wanted the ability to do bulk bone paste.
