I’ve heard a lot about fishing being improved. Its hard for some to sit there and stare for a whole sixty seconds, some people really like it.
My idea is keep everything the same but maybe have a speed fishing option. It would be half the amount of time you fish for, so 30 seconds instead of 60, but keeping the same amount of fish available. So more pop ups in a shorter amount of time. So it would be less boring and a little bit more of a challenge for players who want it. And players who like it as is could just pick default option.

this would definitely make fishing a LOT easier for me. and having it as a separate option seems like a very good idea for those who enjoy it as it currently is.

Honestly, I think that would already help alot.
If the fishing mini-game was more fast paste, it would probably even be fun to play, instead of feeling like a chore (to me), so an optional “hard-mode” would be nice.
Maybe also an optional “easy-mode”, where you still have a minute and the same amount of ripples as now, but the ripples themself stay longer? Since I've seen a few people who still have trouble with the current difficulty for various reasons (like wrist problems and such).
