I'm hopeful, but how much of that is because I backed the KS and how much is genuine goods signs is up in the air.
Most of my issues with the game have been nicely stated by other commenters, more eloquently than I can do it, so I'm not going to elaborate much. I wish the devs would communicate with us better. Even a post with 'hey, this functions the way we want and we aren't changing it' would be preferable to just not addressing a lot of the big issues lookin at you economy. I'm not going to wait three years for something to get fixed when there's been no news on if that's even in the plans or not.
The forums. Something I haven't really seen people talking about. This one is a bit more of a minor thing, but it still frustrates me that the forums are so dead compared to the discord server. I'm in the discord server, but its basically unnavigable and unusable. I've posted in there maybe twice since Beta. It's too big and too active to really be usable for anyone who is unfamiliar with how discord works or doesn't have the time to be constantly monitoring it. There should be more incentive for players to interact with the on-site forums, and therefore the site in general. It's a problem if most of the community is being the community on a third-party location and is actively inaccessible to many people because of it. I'd love to talk to people more, but there is so little activity on the forums that it just isn't worth my time. Even running a sales thread without being on discord means you're getting significantly fewer sales. This isn't a critique of staff or the playerbase - I'm not even really sure how to fix this or if anyone else even sees it as a problem - just a personal frustration I guess.
That - and the other issues - said, I agree with some of the other comments I've seen saying that a lot of people are so upset because we want this to be a good game that has a long lifespan. Engagement is a sign of care, after all! I'm just worried that a lot of players, especially F2P players, are going to give up within the next few months and the site will slowly trickle out into a base of dedicated sunk-cost players. So, hope! But simultaneously realizing that something's gotta be done or it is going to go downhill from here.
