I got my 73 year old mother into Lorwolf but twice, because of where they are placed, she has accidentally clicked on one of the ads, which starts a cascade of issues with malware that requires a deep scan. Does anyone have any advice for this?

You could get an adblocker extension such as Ublock Origin or, if she uses a mobile device, she could switch to something like the Brave browser that has an adblocker built into it. I use Brave when I browse LW on my phone, and Ublock Origin (on Firefox) when I browse it on desktop.

I personally find the ads pretty invasive as well and have clicked on them while trying to click on something else in the past, so this is what I do. I wish I could keep ads on to support the site, but I kind of need to support myself and my safety/my computer's safety first.

I also highly recommend Ublock Origin as an add-on. I use it on my Chrome browser, it was easy to install and works great!
