I'm curious to hear some of the stories people might have to share! As for me.. I don't quite have a favorite animal but cats and reptiles have a soft spot in my heart. My entire life my mother and I have been doing rescue and rehoming work with kittens and their mamas. We've helped a few dogs as well but luckily there weren't many strays near our home. (I really like almost all animals the same though.)

What's your favorite animal or type of animal?

Frogs! I really don't know why exactly, brain just go brr when hold frog. I have a ridiculous success rate at catching them haha. I also LOVE salamanders and newts! Amphibians are the coolest to me :D

otters and owls! specifically river otters and great horned owls. I love otters because they represent laughter (something I do a lot of) and I like their cute, slender appearance, their lil noises they make too are so cute. ;-; I like owls because they look angry. XD and majestic at the same time.

big cats get an honourary mention too, specifically tigers and cheetahs.

oohhh there's so many i like it's hard to pick. but two that i've been interested in for a long time are sailfin dragons and harpy eagles! i just find them fascinating. sailfins are fairly large (~2 - 4 feet long) and can have some really pretty coloration. harpy eagles are just really neat to me and their crests look really cool imo, but i like a ton of birds lol. buzzards especially… but shoebills are also really interesting :0

I have too many favorite animals, but i guess if i had to try to narrow it to just one it would be either Bunnies or dogs.

Invertebrates overall, and insects specifically. But it's kinda hard to get more specific than that, because I just have too many. I wouldn't be able to choose just one favorite per order. Like, maybe one per family, if it's a small enough family?

An obligatory shoutout to wasps though! They are great pollinators and hunters and overall are gentle tiny friends; they just have anxiety.

the spotted hyena, because they're so unlike any other animal, even other hyena species. very unorthodox, very intelligent, & very underappreciated.

snakes & praying mantises get an honorary mention. mantises are also weirdos who are super metal with so many gorgeous species, & snakes are just adorable. they impress me with how their success is attributed to just Not having limbs anymore, LOL. & venom is cool.

Funny enough, even before lorwolf, I've always been a sucker for wolves.. Something about their entire aesthetic always caught my attention, even more fantasy esk things like werewolves, oh man, it was always so cool to see…!

a lot, but if I had to pick one, lynxes! they're so beautiful and adorable and awe-inspiring all at the same time.

I also really adore foxes, wolves, maned wolves, painted dogs, horses, caracals, and pallas cats!
