I have finally made it far enough in mining to utilize the drop ore feature aaaand it's getting quite tedious. There are a couple suggestions out there on how to fix this issue (and I'm hoping I'm not repeating someone else's ideas here on accident), but I thought I would throw my ideas out there as well. They're basically the same concept for a mechanic, but with some kinda significant differences in practice so I'm splitting them apart for clarity.
- Auto-Drop: Let us automate which ore get dropped. It will still be mined and degrade your pickaxe, but will save wrists from clicking so much.
(note: I think I would like an overall improvement on how dropping ore works, like suggested here. That said, I like automation, it's so silly.)
- Ignore: Let us straight up ignore specific ore. This would probably not degrade your pickaxe, but that comes off as pretty unbalanced alone, so maybe it could:
- still take the amount of time it would to mine the ignored ore
(your wolf stares at the ore before moving on) - be a feature you have to unlock either through currency (preferably pebbles) or once you reach a certain level
- maybe limit how many ores can be ignored to prevent people from attempting to just farm Moonstone shards or something
- still take the amount of time it would to mine the ignored ore
Can't remember if I'm forgetting something, so I'll leave it at that.
